Oh gawd, EvE Online....I spent soooooo much time on this, but stopped like a year ago. It was all going great, but then YOU FUCKERS had to make this thread and make me play again.
Gotta admit though, I love mining ^-^. Dunno why, I just like the big, long trips and the vast expans- FELDSPAR
OUT OF FUCKING NOWHERE
what's wrong with enjoying mining?
or are you just talking about his general incoherence?
Incoherence does not begin to describe...
Alright, so I started the trial recently, chose caldari and did all the military tutorial agents and whatever, which ende up giving me a free comorant, Merlin and Condor etc. etc. etc.
Then I tried to try out an actual level 1 mission agent and got my comorant blown up, and then my condor as well trying to salvage the wreckage  - (which is why I don't play at 12 am anymore)
So, what's the best choice for me in terms of a new ship?
ok im trying this game what is the point of eve im doing 21 day trial :) and i want some tips.
-snip- wops read stuff too fast
Also, how long do wreckages last for? I want to get my stuff back a bit later.
I'm not saying you're wrong because of this, but I would also like to know where you get your info. you know, the statistics on the sources of all minerals used for all ship manufacturing everywhere.
I think they last for 2 hours or so. Why can't you afford a kestrel with 1.5 million? I thought they were a few hundred thousand, and fittings shouldn't set you back that much.
It's possible you were in an area that wasn't well stocked with kestrels, hence prices were higher. Just something to keep in mind
Fact is, the guy who responded is correct, the majority of minerals comes from the reprocessing of missions, and it would continue to be this way even if miners suddenly stopped existing.
Though we'd have problems when it comes to the T2 ships, PVP would still exist.
http://www.eve-search.com/thread/989786/page/2#46 (Before you say "40% isn't the majority!" there are also drone complexes to take into account.)
Fact is, if reprocessors stopped existing, mineral prices on the low end would absolutely skyrocket.
Nobody is saying that the minerals miners create on the market aren't being used, it's just that mission runners create more of them. The same goes for the T1 modules market, it's absolutely dominated by loot sellers rather than manufacturers.
CCP are so passive about banning macro miners because banning them all would skyrocket the price of everything due to a hughe void needing to be filled.
Loot tables have been adjusted so mineral prices will go up this month.
PI will allow people to produce t2 components cheaply so t2 prices will go down.
T1 and T2 prices will converge a bit.
Which is good.
Anyone have ideas for a name?

uh. none. but I would recommend a incursus, if cheap pvp is what you need. however, I have little to no experience where pvp is concerned.
