I have to say that I completely agree with the lukewarm beverages.
It brings out more flavor when its room temperature. When it's cold, it doesn't really taste like anything except coldness.

Unfortunately we seem to be in the minority, since all my friends think that that is disgusting.

The colder a drink, the more it numbs the tongue. The more numb the tongue, the less taste it has.

That's why soft ice cream has more flavor than hard ice cream.
