Also, i was up against a laning lycan last week. We killed him 6 fuckin times in lane but he still ended up carrying the game.
I dunno i just cant lose as Ursa in pubs. I usually end up feeling sorry for picking Ursa, people are always trying to run away when they see Ursa coming instead of doing something, that's so dumb.
Never give up
What does Dota 2 test do?
I've definitely gotten the hang of this game.. on some heroes at least, and I've begin to think that maybe the skill-cap in Dota isn't that high after all?
I mean, I've always had the impression that Dota is SUPER COMPETITIVE and it takes four hundred years for a newb to become decent, but it seems to me that all you need is knowledge about all the Heroes, and getting used to actually using items/abilities like you should, against their cooldowns. (like phase boots.)
Like as if that means anything to me.
Are you saying that there are players who I can NOT meet in public matchmaking, unless I become as good as them?
I believe your games are ranked by being low/mid/high quality, thus game slowly begins to pick people from area your games land most of the time.
Believe me when I say that in just day to day matchmaking you are unlikely to play with tops and best, same as you don't count on meeting famous sports stars when playing on public field.
There is a good reason for that, unless you like being pubstomped / pubstomping. I think neither is fun.
Man I forget why I stopped playing nature's prophet. I can get so many ganks off early game it's not even funny. Only problem is my team has to be somewhat competent and I have to be able to split push well. Still pretty fun. Did well both times I randomed him today.
Well it feels like the game likes to put me among high matchmaking players out of sadism or something.
I hope Skywrath Mage gets ported over sometime soon, sounds baller as hell.
I just had a fun game as Lion, think I'm getting the hang of him. Unfortunately we lost as the 2 russian clan friends on our team went Invoker and Bloodseeker and then played terribly and left the team in teamfights. It ended up with me and Sniper trying to hold down whole team pushes. That bit wasn't as fun...
It's a core item allegedly.
I've found it rather useful though, as an escape mechanism. Obviously it's not foolproof as there's myriad ways to invalidate Invisibility, but combined with the extra damage, and using it before you're actually getting pounded on, it's not a BAD item by any means.
And I dare you call Shrapnel an escape mechanism. I have yet to see it save someone from Night Stalker. Shadow Blade on the other hand requires dust/sentry/gem to be countered(all of which cost, don't contribute to Hero's stats and take up a slot).
Just played a game with some people from 9GAG on my team...
LE LE LE LE LE XDDD shit talking all the god damn game, I'm glad we won but fuck I was so close to leave the game just so I could stop listening to them.
I don't mean just overextending and getting ganked, I mean being towerdived, nuked to death, chain cced, etc. Shadow Blade is your way of saying "Now, if you didn't get that true vision, I am saving my gold and time". Not to mention, the speed boost is sometimes useful for chasing people so that they get in range of Ultimate, or within auto-attack range for ministuns.
Of course, it's easily countered, but I do believe that with some skills even true vision is just half the battle against Shadow Blade user. Use it with some proper juking and possibly nearby ally and you are on freefarm whole game.
played Lina, god damn those are some sweet nukes. there was a riki on the enemy team, i'd ult him, stun necro, nuke, dagon, dead, gg
Lina the fire-lady-who-can-randomly-shoot-thunderbolts.
IF I SEE ANOTHER LYCAN WITH SHADOW BLADE ILL FLIP SHIT
Hahaha, holy shit I just had the greatest game ever.
Two of our guys dont connect, two of the enemies dont connect. We say its 3v3 time, but the enemies' teammates connect in about 2 minutes. Meanwhile Im playing 1v1 vs lion on mid. 5 minutes go by and our guys get an abandonment.
We all say "gg bye cya etc" and start to leave. Everyone but me and Lion leaves. We then duel it out on mid, I kill him and he leaves the game, giving me a win.
tl;dr this is how you win a legit 3v5
