Ok guys, it's late and I'm a bit frustrated... but I feel so damn close to getting this started.
I just built my PC in a Thermaltake Chaser MK-I case with a ASUS P8Z68-V LE LGA 1155 Intel Z68 motherboard. For some reason, the motherboard has power (Shows on the light) but the PC won't start. It looks like the power button doesn't work... and I thought it was me probably putting in the connections wrong with front panel... so I tried switching sides of each. None of it worked...
Everything seems to be plugged in perfectly fine, I'm confused as hell right now.
It had a really insulting message to the employees to replace the bad part
I forgot what it said, I think it called them some form of stupid
The total amount my current computer costed must be around $1,100 (it was a gift so I have no idea)
Now I don't own a car but I must have sunk around $400 into public transit by now.
Whats the best desktop streaming application and how much bandwidth does it require?
I want to watch a movie with my friends through internet
Also I gain income from youtube. Certainly doesn't offset what I spend on my computer, but I'm mostly buying equipment to help me make more content.
So yeah at first it tells about what unix is (first page only tells about what is standard for a unix PC (TCP/IP support is the first example)). Then it tells about the "family tree of unix" (really basic stuff, mostly tells about which companies made it and what are they similar to).
Then it goes saying how amazing linux is and how did Linus Torvalds create it, after that it tells where should you buy (!) the most popular linux distros (Says that they are huge so its hard to download them)
Everything is really basic and simplified
I hate people that goes, OH YOU HAZ GOOD PC, WHY YOU NEED SUCH GOOD PC? YOU SPOILED? YOU RICH? WHAT U DO 2 DESERVE SUCH GOOD PC, WHY NOT GIVE TO ME INSTEAD? Well, what would you be doing that will justify me placing my investment into someone I don't even know? HIM: Well, golly, I don't know.. ME: Just fuck off.
I made $1,400 in 2011 from Youtube. Enough to cover my two 580's and one of those drives.
The hard drive in my dad's iMac is dying.
He's gonna get the new 27" iMac as soon as it's out in June (according to rumor).
Which I guess I'll just get a drobo and write it off as a business expense. Which according to what my dad said, the tax adviser was able to write off some of my expenses for a business claiming self employment.
I can't say what the rate is.
I wish i had income
Currently applying for food stamps and cash assistance...
I know i can get food easy...
I hate these migrains....
It doent help i pretty deaf..
I also don't have a car / my drivers linance
I'v been looking for ways to get some kind of incomes...anyone have some realistic idea's? doesnt need to be fast but...just some way to make cash
I tried applying for YouTube Partnership before, but I got rejected :(
Was at my grandma yesterday for easter, and also to help her set up her new laptop. Her old one had some piece of plastic under the power button break. Could have been fixed by popping open the case on top, but it was already having issues so she decided to get a new one instead. Fair enough, The old laptop was almost pre XP old anyway. I gave her some tips and some store recommendations.
That was 3 weeks ago. When i get down there i see a really good looking Acer laptop. After a quick glance at the stickers i see that it has an i5 and dedicated GPU. The fuck. Looked it up and it can run goddamn BF3 on low. She uses it for word
Turns out that instead of going to one of the non "get this overpowered laptop and give us your money" stores that i reccomended, She went to Expert which is in the sell you unneeded shit store
Oh, and since it was preinstalled with Win7, It was filled to the brim with bloatware
Had to leave to catch the train after i saw that but shit it annoys me that stores does that. She told me that she had asked "I need a laptop for doing word and exel, and looking at my mail. I just want it to be light and have a good battery time"
So they sold her a $800 Acer when a $400 anything would have been enough for her. Hell, i could have bought her one of the laptops our school gives us (we can buy them when we leave the school this summer) for like $30
My neighbour has done the exact opposite, she has a 1.8Ghz single core celery Toshiba laptop, the battery life is excellent but my god does it crawl. It can't handle smooth HD video playback either.
One of the funniest things about the 3D shutter glasses
Look at a regular screen while they're on, the picture is constantly between refreshes
If they don't accept returns, just go yell at whoever sold her the laptop for being an immoral asshole.
I made $253.26 off of 2 videos roughly last month and I already have $31.48 for April.
Good to see I am not the only SS13 player here.
