He called the final game between EHOME and Scythe during the International tournament perfectly, especially one of the final team fights. I like how he breathes life into the serious atmosphere that Dota provides.
Tobis is best, don't be a hater
I was almost carrying (accidentally) as bloodseeker, but half the team just had to be farming at the middle of the map while theirs pushed for the win
Just played my first game as Sand King..Pretty fun but need a decent team to do anything with him.
Also his voice is fucking amazing.
What's the deal with Silencer silencing his own teammates with the aura and ultimate? Is he broken?
I got a replay of it happening, weird. Guess it was just some random bug.
Sand King reminds me of Tim Curry.
I really suck at this. I have no problems killing creeps but as soon as I'm anywhere near another hero, bot or otherwise, I'm toast. I can try anything, any attack, but they always seem to get the upper hand. Basically, shit's impossible.
What is with some of Tinker's responses? He keeps mentioning Lamar.
(yes i know he's voiced by Kleiner.)
Yeah, but it's weird as fuck when he says "I've seen these before.."
I guess I'll just have to keep playing until I find a hero that I'm not completely awful with. If you have any newbie hero recommendations, let me hear 'em!
Kunnka, Omniknight, Tidehunter are pretty easy for me at least
Demon witch and just try and target squishy heroes. Remember things like the natural magic defense heroes have, dont think your spells are going to do that exact ammount of damage they say they do(25% all the time, apart from any other item they have on). Your Finger of Death says it does 500 damage but it actually does 375 damage to Heroes, Earthspike does 195 damage, etc.
I don't know who it was that said that Bloodseeker and Razor were difficult, they're pretty easy
i didn't realize, it crashes when trying to view a dota profile while in a match or clicking on your name on the far left when at the main menu.. (has this happened to anyone else?).
1. My lanemate was Lich but he still kept trying to steal my creeps even after I asked him to stop
2. It took half a second to a full second after the whip actually hit for the creeps to take damage, and it kept changing, so it was hard as hell to time it right.
Finally got this done:
Ballin' out of control as OD. Having 194 intelligence, and refresher orb. ULTRA KILL, RAMPAGE. Haxxer was the pro Axe tanking everything.
Essence Aura + Battle Hunger = Everyone hungers for blood.
playing warlock, get refresher, never need to use it because entire enemy team is dead and mega creep are already wrecking the ancient
Sometimes, shitty opponents make the game less fun. Only good players on that team were Rhasta and Pudge. Everyone else was literally spoon-feeding us kills.
So I have dota_range_display 1200 in my autoexec for experience range, so I can know how close to be if I'm low but still want to stay in the lane and get some XP.
And then in a game as Tiny a little bit ago, I realized Blink Dagger's range is 1200.
Dual purpose range ring ftw.
Chances are, eventually, there will be an option to have range indicators when you use something, so you actually know how far you can cast it, and it'll change/only show up when you're trying to cast a spell.
Ursa is such a bullshit hero, god damn, every match I'm in where someone's playing him he destroys everyone left and right, mid game it gets even worse, just being in the same lane is suicide.
If you can even make it to end game you can't leave spawn.
Bane would like a word with you.
Bane is like one of the best heroes imho, even if his abilites are all single target they are amazing. Lifesteal with pure 300 damage etc
A. Lock the carry, ult the support and have your team burn everyone else
B. Enfeeble the carry, lock the support and ult the highest priority after the carry
and my personal favorite
lock Dazzle and completely break his entire purpose in the game
