We took out that GODDAMN sniper in the mountains at Chernogorsk an hour ago on NY1.
im really tired of the low res PMC models but i don't wanna pay 5 bucks for textures
I cant join any DayZ server, "It keeps saying you can not play/edit this mission it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted: DayZ_code, DayZ_weapon, DayZ_equip, DayZ_code.
Im running Combined operations.
And off course, playing this in a group is where the fun is, and you'll usually manage to survive that way.
Finally the 3 university courses I took featuring Thomas Hobbes' philosophy have some relevance because of this mod.
did you unzip it?
Have to ask, someone actually forgot to do that and asked me what the problem was.
Did you also add @dayz to your modline
Find a small village.
No zeds around.
Hear flies buzzing around, turn a corner and see 13 zeds eating someone.
Wow, I got betrayed again, goddamnit.
Did something update?
I hope you get the ability to make groups in the future. So we can have dickwad groups(Kill everything except groupmates),bountyhunter groups(kill dickheads) and normal survival groups
Welp so I played a good 3 hour game of Dayz.
It's a great mod and a good concept but it needs changes.
I went from the south east corner of the map all the way to the north west side of the map.
I didn't see anyone, and I didn't see any variation in loot besides an occasional shotgun/rifle.
And best of all I didn't see any cars at all.
Honestly, having more cars would NOT take away from the experience of the game one bit. I came across so many car parts, but no fucking car to fix. It just doesn't make sense that the entire world has 3 cars total.
Zombies shouldn't be able to chase you for an eternity.
And I had to literally quit playing because traversing in the night is impossible. It's not fun, its not immersive, its not even "realistic".
I know its alpha/beta/whatever but I don't think the car problem is going to be changed. Its like 45% of the server is around spawn on the southside, 45% are in the two big cities murdering each other. And the other 10% wander off to remote locations on the map, probably never to be seen by another player again. And that leaves the majority of the map a giant ghost town, or a zombie town to be more fitting. Cars and a better spawning system would fix this. More cars would promote more raids, and more travel. And with this, it would be easier to encounter other players by hearing and seeing cars. (which could be a good or bad thing).
night in arma pisses me off, not being able to see literally anything at all is not fun at all
Just came back from the most exhilarating time Ive had in Arma ever.
As I was wandering alone for what seemed like hours. I make it to an Oil Refinery, Head up top a stairway
And from far away I see 2 guys defending themselves on top of a roof from a major horde of zombies.
As I tried to make it to them, I see one of them goes down horribly as he's trying to climb down the
Some of the zombies attacking the last guy sees me so I ran for a church and radio the guy if he is in shape to make to me.
When he gets to me, We have a breather and he tells me that it was "A simple ammo run" but someone should be heading to the church to meet up with us.
When his friend makes it to us, We have quite a run to the camp they have set up.
After a terrifying fight with like 30-40 zombies surrounding us in a crappy small 2 way building. We find weapons and ammo.
Then we were ejected from a jet out of nowhere
Why I never...
28 days later zombies on crack that are experts in the martial art of bullet dodging seems to be an accurate description of them.
Apparently the zombies drop items based on who they are.
Soldiers will drop magazines and Police men will drop pistol ammo. So if you want ammo don't go kill villager zombies, try to find gun shops instead or police stations or even military camps.
I think Facepunch should claim a town in Dayz and try and maintain it.
Sure, it will fall apart in 30 minutes once everyone starts heading to it, but it'd at least be neat to see it in those 30 minutes.
How do you use a blood bag in dayz? Do you first have to get blood from someone else?
My journey into northern Chernarus. Playing with strangers is hard, but as long as they got microphones they are usually pretty nice and won't shoot you on sight.
We met an unfortunate end. Apparently the Tom guy shot us all in the back as we were getting mobbed, wasting more than 2 hours of our time.
Holy shit, I entered the right building.. 2 ak-74, a silenced pistol, medical supplies and loads of ammo for various weapons.. Too much to carry.. Crossbolt + silenced pistol, they won't hear me coming
bah, no friendly people in this anymore, i was meeting up with a friend and a friend of his shoots me and kills me, proceeds to not want to give me back my shit.
I save somebodys dick at an airfield, he just fucking mows me down with his rifle.
Only trust facepunchers.
MP5s aren't worth it because you'll probably find a better primary within 2 minutes. The only good thing about the 9mm weapons is interchangeable magazines. You can load an M9 with an MP5 mag if you want.
The crossbow is a shitty choice. I literally tell everyone I see with it "Ditch that as soon as you find another primary". Each shot takes up one inventory slot. The bolts are quite buggy and inconsistent with the whole reusability thing. It takes 2 torso shots to kill a zombie, and the sights on it are misaligned making a OHK headshot difficult. Plus there's a 1-2 second wait after you've reloaded before you can fire again.
Joining the EU1 DayZ for the first time, the name is Goz3rr [FP]
Dayz - Operation Stalinsky Island
Having died, and finally having some free time to play on a server not shrouded in the eternal darkness, I decided to put into action my risky survival plan. Swimming to Stalinsky Island.
-You loose everything in primary storage making this trip.
-Food and water can spawn too, so this is theoretically sustainable.
-Wildlife spawns, so if you have a knife, food is even easier.
-You can still find good loot on the island, I found an alice pack, revolver ammo, matches and enfield ammo.
-Zombies still spawn like crazy.
I'm gonna see how long I can last out here.
Also, what are campfires good for?
Cooking meat, lighting areas for a long time, and looking cool.
fucking pvpers, killed by a guy who i was willing to give him food and shit
Oh, man, yes. I actually logged out on top of things for once B). I lost a lot of blood wandering around in Elektro, and some dude was kindly willing to walk to Cherno with me since he was lost anyway. I found the hospital, grabbed some blood packs, but the other guy alerted a horde. We climb on top, snipe about half of them with our pistols before my friend gets owned by a sniper with an Enfield. Poor wanna-be griefer suddenly gets literally 30 zombies on top of him, and he gets knocked out by the last 2. I walk over and execute him, cool-guy style. I'd been collecting Enfield ammo the whole life so far, so I had a good 10 clips now. I went over to the apartments, searched it up, grabbed spare tools and a Glock 17, and logged off on top of the northwestern hopsital. It feels good to not log off in anger after dying again.
spawned with out any gear, go into town, get shot. WTF
- More vehicles ( car and bikes, but not thousand )
- Zombies stop chasing you after a while
- The total pitch black night. No. Just no. Dark, why not but at this stage it's just PLAIN BLACK.
- The possibility for a player to create a stash or something, a chest, i don't know. To stock some shit.
That would be actually cool.
