Anyone else thing the Securitrons are kinda pushovers? The way they sounded, it seemed like the NCR wouldn't dare take on House's Securitron Army. But while screwing around I decided to save and see how strong they were, and it turns out they go down pretty easily, about as quick as your basic Raider, but easier to hit due to their size.
I'm thinking the NCR just wouldn't take them on because they look scary and they don't know what they're capable of. In reality I think an NCR Soldier with a Service Rifle would be able to 1 on 1 a Securitron just fine.
i don't think hit points are necessarily canon, more of a gameplay thing
I wish they were though, it's annoying when they aren't. Operation Anchorage comes to mind. Chimera Tanks are said to the extremely powerful, even stronger than the strongest US Tank. So I think I'm in for a hell of a fight then, right? Well, no. My first encounter with a Chimera Tank, it's blown up by 2 Assault Rifles and a Plasma Pistol before I finish taking out my Missile Launcher. Boooo!
Finally picked up Fallout 1 and 2. What would you guys recommend for modernizing/patching FO2?
Anyway, what place do people prefer for player housing? I kind of like using Goodsprings gas station.
Decided to do a slightly evil/independent run with 10 INT, 10 Luck, and 7 perception. See where that gets me. Can't wait to nuke both NCR and Legion.
Is there any way to get proper iron sights for FOOK 1.2?
I know theres a mod that adds iron sights to normal FO3, and theres a mod that also adds iron sights to FOOK, but it only works for 1.0 and 1.1
I've tried installing iron sights for normal fo3 with the fook iron sights, the normal FO:3 weapons work fine except for the assault rifles, but all the fook weapons didnt work. Also fook weapon textures would fuck up.
Fallout Patch Pack
Fallout 2 Restoration Pack
The Fallout 2 pack contains an installer with the latest unofficial patch, the custom resolution mod, and a huge amount of restored content that was left unfinished or heavily bugged. It also includes a few bonuses (extra talking heads, character models etc.), but otherwise follows the developers' intent and publicly-released design documents.
Honestly, that's pretty much the only mod you need for FO2. The sheer amount of content and bug fixes is just mindboggling. It's creator has spent something close to 7 years tweaking and fixing it at this point.
The way Elijah talks is mesmerizing. It has a strange rhythm to it.
Dead Money Ending:
How do I seal the vault with Elijah inside? I can't leave the room, security automatically triggers once I get near the doors, and if I wait, it triggers itself when he gets to the control panel.
Okay I figured it out, I was running to the wrong door. Anyway, finished it, left a revolver and 1 bullet for the poor fucker
Exit the BOS Bunker, ooooh shit suddenly I'm getting a million of my old items back and I'm twice my weight limit, how the shit am I going to get to New Vegas with all this stuff!?
Looks like I'm huffin' it to the Mojave Express box in Novac
Also I prefer this for Fallout http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=57362
I hated Ullysses because he was a jackass that tried to hard to be intelligent and poetic.
Also he's really dumb. "It's your fault this happened." "It was an accident, hell I had my memory erased since being shot in the head anyway." "I don't care, you did this. We need to DESTROY EVERYTHING to stop you." "Seriously what are you even talking about?"
The only thing in there that slightly made sense to me is the eastern BoS chapter and project purity.
Also, his mission to reawaken America doesn't make sense. "I'll reawaken America by destroying the last remnant of it that exists!"
Fucking christ my post just completely weirded out.
Any one know a mod for Fallout 1 where I can expand how many days I have before my vault dies?
Damn, I hate trying to get Boone's quest...
"Book of Earache" Is a piece of shit. Don't download it.
Its a weapon pack that also replaces the vanilla weapons with tacticool piles of horsecrap.
Im okay if a mod adds not-so-lore-friendly weapons, but replacing the varmint rifle with something
that looks like it belongs in Deus ex? No.
Holy shit the Dead Money ending was the best I've ever seen in a DLC, and almost the best I've ever seen in a game.
The ending cinematic
Besides, Avellone has always said that if you didn't pick a conversation option, anything but that option could be possible. So the Courier only got amnesia if you wanted him/her to get amnesia.
Dat foreshadowing at the end.
Also, I walked out of that vault with every single gold bar. Awesome.
Armored Jumpsuits (Pretty self explanatory)
Ten Armor Pack (Some are a bit tacticool, but pretty lore-friendly)
Raul's Armor Pack(Implements Raul's unused armored Petro Chico armor)
Jaden's Revenge(Seems to be unfinished and in German)
Wasteland Seeker Armor(Stealthy looking)
Hostile Environment Armor(New power armor)
ADAM (Personal favorite)
The Legacy of X13(Rehauls the Assassin and Stealth suits)
HEV Suit(Aww. Yeah.)
I may post some more later.
