So I came out of this cave with the crazy glowing mushrooms and stuff and my game is stuck in a loop. Now, whenever I load the game, I get stuck in this crazy loop where the screen fades from dark to an image and I hear the noise of iron gates but it keeps repeating.
Anybody have an idea how to fix this? This has prevented me from actually playing the game because I think my last backup save was a long time ago.
So it seems there is some kind of Skyrim Beta in the settings menu?
it's for skyrim 2: ballad of the thalmor
Is it just me, or is Steam down? Can't view my friends, and I just get a Steam Communtiy Error when I try to view a mod...
Aaand it's back. Yay.
My Skyrim has been defunct for a few days now, outside cells crash after 3-30 seconds, no errors or anything, just instantly booted to desktop.
No mods have changed, it all started when I changed ansiotropic filtering from 2x to 16x, but changing it to anything now doesn't work. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing all of my mods, going indoors and PCBing but nothing works.
Anyone else have this? Help?
I just want your guys opinion on if i should focus on one skill at a time to rank up or SLLOOOOOOOOOWLY rank up all of them at the same time. Right now on my new character im focusing on the destruction class and its very efficient. I came here to see what your opinion is first and second, if this will bite me in the ass eventually.
How do you guys decorated your houses? when ever I put shit on shelves/tables, I find my stuff laying all over the floor. Same with most display cases.

Does anyone else have an immense need to dress up your followers in exactly the same way as your character?
You might be a champ with destruction, but if you can't mitigate damage, buff yourself, or heal yourself, then you are going to get thrashed by the stronger monsters.
The other way is the way Bethesda does it, make small cities, and have damn near everything in the city be important for some reason or another. This doesn't feel as "epic", but it makes you feel like most of the town has personality, rather than all being generic npcs and houses. The ratio of stuff to do versus generic filler is a lot higher.
Both ways have their places in gaming(GTA wouldn't be GTA without a large sprawling city full of "filler" buildings and npcs you can't really interact with). However, for a RPG like Skyrim, where a huge part of the game is seeing the personality of the people living inside the world, you want more intimate city design.
Some of them look cool, and they aren't just retextures. I wouldn't use it though. The Dremora Mistress made me chuckle.
Some of those could work in a different context. With a bit of tweaking the "ghost draugr" could work pretty well in a horror type environment, same with the other zombie tweaks.
Can you find/run into werewolves just by going around Skyrim? Or are they only present during specific events/quests?
I never ran into one except for those quests
wish essential characters were more like oblivion.
Where they would just go unconscious so it's like they're dead but they aren't.
The main difference is that essential NPC's in Skyrim stay hostile when they get up. Maybe my memory of Oblivion is foggy, but I thought when you attacked an essential (making them hostile) and knocked them unconscious, they were no longer hostile when they got up.
Or maybe that was just the vampire dude in the dark brotherhood. Farmed a lot of skills just knocking that guy out again and again.
I have a bad history with Beth games and fighting with my clones
