To save me time looking through the files, are there any models with an interior? Specifically the xwings
If you want some interiors, X-WIng Alliance mods typically have some. This is a good site: http://www.xwaupgrade.com/

More like nothing dirty like okay lets something stupid (since I'm dealing with a Star Trek/Wars Crossover okay) like a Star Trek girl, gets kidnapped by Jabba the Hutt but an alternate reality version of Jabba who wants his slave girls to be fat as fuck. Something like that.

Dammit because that's what I'm into when it comes to more kinky stuff. Not that, that was going to be in my film, I just used that for the sake of example.

The guideline that really gets me is the first one, regarding runtime. Especially with a complex story like mine, you can't tell a good complex story in 15 minutes. It's not possible.

The only way for me to continue the use for all these models is to demote to web comics.

So I bet you all are probably wondering why I'm not as active on the Star Wars models threads as I used to be, contributing content in all. Well here's why, my personal purpose for all the models is basically crushed right now.

Why? This is why. My Star Wars fanfilm wasn't purely Star Wars, Star Trek was going to play just as big a role in the story. But now it can't, not legally.

To put a long story short, a particular Star Trek fanfilm, AXANAR, the director turned out to be a complete hack, ruined it for the entire fanfilm community. He thought it would be really cute to use the production as a means of making a monetary profit, CBS/Paramount found out and he got what was coming to him. But in turn didlo'd all Star Trek and Star Trek/scifi crossover fanfilm productions, such as my idea in the process. Last week they instituted these onerous "guidelines". http://www.startrek.com/fan-films

These regulations as I call them make it almost impossible to do anything. To sumarize what they say, you won't get sued for a fanfilm as long as it is a poorly produced piece of shit no one will watch. My idea was anything but that.

As I said Star Trek plays just as big a role as Star Wars in my idea so I too was affected by those regulations.

So I'm on the fence about everything, the fanfilm, hence the reason I contributed to this models thread in the first place.
Whatever it is your talking about won't affect your production at all. But if you're burnt out, stop working and recharge, that's normal human behavior.

Bothan Spies appeared in Star Wars: Battlefront II but the models would not be as detailed as you might like.
It was not in this game battlefrontII of ships. I myself was looking for him, too, and so did not find. And he tried to model.

JKA models are in .glm format, not .gma.

Hey Acewell, i don't know if you still read this thread, but i remember some time ago you got some models from Star Wars Rebels Missions, i was wondering if i could get the Lothal slumb buildings from the backdrop, i mostly want the little things like the flaps over the windows, the random griebels on the walls and all taht jazz, or if anyone knows how to get things from Star Wars: Rebels Pinball, i would apreciate to get the right side backdrop from Lothal C:

Ahh new thread... I could use some help grabbing a model if someone is willing...

I tried to follow the directions on how to use Ninja Ripper, but I had no success.... I was wondering if I could impose on you to grab a model for me? Just one... trying to get a costume made and the file would be a huge help.

This is the link to the location of the model I am trying to rip. https://swtor.jedipedia.net/en/npc/m...-fire-commando

Let me know if you think you can help.

    Thank you!

Okay, no worries. I can help you out - .gla refers to animation files that the .glm importer requires to import a JKA model.

Firstly, do you have JKA installed or are you just using the models?

If you do, go to your JediAcademy/GameData/Base directory, create a new folder called models, and then inside that create another folder called players.

Then open either Assets0.pk3 or Assets1.pk3 in the Base directory (I forget which one it is, but try both - they will open with WinRAR) and extract the folder '_humanoid' from the models/player/ directory inside that .pk3. This folder will contain three files - _humanoid.gla and two animation files.

Place the _humanoid folder in the /models/player directory you created earlier.

Then place whichever .glm models you wish to import in their folders in the 'players' directory too. So if you extract, say, Kyle Katarn, Luke Skywalker and Jan Ors model folders then your Base/models/players directory would have the following folders in it:

    _humanoid
    jan
    kyle
    luke

The Blender plugin requires the .glm models to be organised in this way relative to the _humanoid folder in order to import correctly.

If you do not have JKA installed, then you need to acquire yourself a copy of the _humanoid folder and then set up a GameData/Base/Models/Players folder chain somewhere for you to extract your .glm folders to.

    Hope that helps.

There is a =noesis script for Jedi Knight series , the .gla file has the bones and glm is the model. When .gla is in the same folder as the model it will have bones.

Soulbrother can I ask you a question?

I was trying to follow your instructions but ran into a snag. Mainly that Ninja Ripper requires an Exe. to point to.. what am I pointing to for the .Exe to get it to run while I move to step 5?

This is the model I was trying to grab and convert to an OBJ https://swtor.jedipedia.net/en/npc/m...-fire-commando

Although you can use ninja ripper to rip from the other.
To do that follow these instructions.
    1. Use Firefox browser
    2. Download NinjaRipper 1.5.0 x86
    3. After both are installed run ninjaripper as administrator
    4. In settings on ninja ripper set all as f4 , and set inject as d3d9 wrapper.
5.hit run navigate to page load model , then hit f4 . I rotate the model as i hit f4 to see if it pauses to make sure it is ripping. dont hit any other buttons.
This works for me with both artstation and sketchfab .

Pandemonium, are you using 1.5.0 or higher? I'm trying the same with 1.5.1 and not having any luck even doing exactly as you've said here... any chance you could link me up to 1.5.0?

Thank you SOOOOOO MUCH! now I am off to read how to convert to an OBJ. Seriously, thank you!

Venkman, yeah 1.5.1 but it seems episoder found a way to get it working. The instruction I posted were by Soulbrother on another thread. I only had access to the latest version myself.

I was able to DL a trial version of 3D Max and get the mesh but the textures are not working for me, which is not a huge deal... It would be nice to have the textures applied correctly, its just a bit beyond me as I have tried what I could and am unfamiliar with 3DS. Anyone out there know how to deal with that side of things?

I wonder if there's anything like this in other popular productions like Star Wars, Transformers, or Halo. No space battles or action is like taking out the meat and purpose of a sci-fi or action film.

Star Wars has a time limit as well for Fan films, I think it is also 15 minutes.

I've asked in a separate thread but it would be nice for some environment stuff, maps from BF1 / BF2, and the new lego star wars has some great environments from the new movies that would be good to use!

Just out of curiosity, is there any chance of ripping out unit LODs from Battlefront? Surely they must have had them, because I can't imagine it being sensible to render a 20K+ model in the distance of a match.
