I am currently working on a model for SFM, and I need some help with the vmts. I would like to have a greyscale detail texture (as in paint job decorations for a robot) which can be applied on the model with the Hat proxy AND, most importantly, to be able to change the color of the detail texture in SFM. How could I set this up in the vmt?
The reason I'm doing this is that I want two different colourable areas for the same texture (I use the same method as TF2 hats for the base color), and if there is a better way to do it than detail textures I would really like to hear it. Thanks in advance!
