Some Palestine message is just displayed. Quite funny. Sorry for not linking any articles, I actually can't find any currently. If you find any articles please link them in this thread.

    Edited:

Seems like they fixed it, pretty much straight after I posted this. Daym, wish I'd got a screenshot.

    Edited:

Whatsapp and Avira have also been hacked today by the same group.

Article on CNET suggests that traffic from Whatsapp servers may have also been redirected to the hackers server.

Probably because English isn't their first language, and masses of media exposure was probably their first thought.

Clearly they've never seen Reddit/FP. Bad grammar and sentence structure makes everyone disregard your message.

Recently stopped using AVG after looking up what people had been saying about it more recently and I never realized just how much it was slowing my system down.
I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials right now but if anyone could recommend a better antivirus to me or whatever you happen to be using right now, please do.

    Open notepad or anything.

    Paste:
    Code:
    X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*
Save as anything, probably ending in .exe MSE (should work for any virusscanner thats decent) should remove it nearly instantly after saving.

MSE is pretty good. If you want to change you could always try Avast, that's what I use.

This isn't a security flaw with AVG itself, it's with their domain registrar.

The only recommendation I ever give pertaining to AVG centers around the word "uninstall"

Aside from the above mentioned Avast! and MalwareBytes, Microsoft Security Essentials is both free and effective, and there's also NOD32.
