    umodel just updated with yaiba support





    no normals. 2 textures per mat, looks like _df files have color. then in _rgb files i'm guessing red=spec, green=detail, blue=illum.

    Having never played Blacklight, but admiring what's come out of it, I hadn't seen most of these guys but in bits and pieces or part of other hacks. It's good to see them getting ported wholesale. Keep up the good work!

    I just use Umodel Viewer to export the models and ActorXImporter to put in 3D Max and export as an smd file with wunderboy's SMD tools.

    Something I've been working on to experiment with fancy shader materials.

    High definition Fi from Skyward Sword, ~3x polycount/texture resolution upped from raw import.



    She has 4 different lightwarps active on her to replicate her excessive color variations under different lighting like in the actual game. It's pretty ridiculous

    Just need to make flexes and some rig fixes and it's done.

    Question: I was considering putting this on the workshop but are there any kind of restrictions on ported content like this? Like is it frowned upon by Valve or straight up not allowed?

    I don't think you need to worry about it, given the literally hundreds or more directly ported models on there already.

    SFM workshop, at least, is full of ports now. Everything I've uploaded is a port of licensed material.

    Nothing, I was just wondering if there was a kind of stigma against uploading ported stuff. Even after over a year of it being available I've completely neglected to use the workshop feature until now so I just wanted to make sure I didn't do something I wasn't supposed to.

    I know Facepunch supports porting but I didn't know if workshop did.

    Your alpha channel will decide what actually changes colour.
