light_dynamic is weird.
I was playing around with it's settings trying to get it to look nice. I just created a room and I found some interesting things...
It seems like the light_dynamic won't work right if you don't have it pointing at an entity. All I did was create a info_target and pointed the light_dynamic to it and it worked.
The second thing I found is the way it acts...
I set up a simple path_track consisting of a func_tracktrain, env_sprite (to tell where it's currently at), a light_dynamic, and an info_trigger.
Whenever the light's center passed over an object, it would get increasingly brighter.
That's the light about to pass over a prop_static.
And that's what happens when it goes over it.
I also found that prop_physics will not do this. However, func_physbox will.
It also generally just acts different than a regular light. It's brightness setting is super sensitive. I can't remember what I had it set to for those images, but it was less than 10, where a normal light would be around the 100's or higher.
Uncle sphinxa just had a blood test, I passed out when they were done taking the needle out and hit my head on a counter-top and started fitting. Woke up and screamed "WHERE THE FUCK AM I?"
MASSIVE Phobia of needles man :C
Made my shitty morning better
Why can't I stop laughing at this
Fuck that, we're giving him the biggest needle there is.
The space needle.
Being scared of needles is perfectly normal.
My fear is of heights on man made structures.
I can't play in any water levels in games without being terrified.
It took me five weeks to man up and kill the Ichthyosaur in HL.
I was scared to enter any water in WoW whatsoever.
I even shit myself when I enter water in Spyro, for fucks sake.
Fucking sharks, man. Fucking sharks.
Also, my other fear is being bound to a swivel chair in duct tape and pushed backwards down a flight of stairs.
Alright kids, I got a question for you:
What features/fixes/UI changes would you like to see in Hammer? By that I mean, without modifying the core functionality of Hammer.
It helps when you realise that sharks don't eat humans. Sharks don't like humans, it's just that sharks know what's what by biting them.
I once worked with a guy who was afraid of water on his face. His fear was so bad he couldn't look at my desktop image (hydrophobia screenshots).
What I can understand about the water fear would be swimming in the sea and something huge opening its jaws as it comes up underneath.
Most sharks are harmless though. Indeed, some are filter feeders such as the whale shark or merely scavengers.
We have a lot of them. No, they won't kill you.
But they will scare the shit out of you.
that thing could fit like 5 bowling balls in its mouth
Mostly because of working with risky electronics though, some here might have heard about the time when I had an uncased computer CPU start to smoke...in my lap...
The Facepunch "Yap and Blabber" Thread: Sharks and Needles Edition!
That shark looks so cute.
It would sit nicely in a tank next to your ants time!
