I wasn't aware that this thread existed on Facepunch.
Eh, we've got the dragon megathread, why not a crossdressing megathread I guess. Have fun guys / girls.
Well, basically had to resort to a complete emotional breakdown to get my parents to listen to me. That was fun.
On the bright side, I should be starting HRT as soon as possible. Just need to talk to my counselor. Yay n_n I am very excited.
OH MY FUCK ANNA CONGRATULATIONS FUCKING FINALLY JESUS CHRIST
I really feel like I deserve a second chance on this HRT thing.
I should really get in contact with someone who knows what they're talking about, and can tell me the risks of doing HRT.
I'm pretty sure my sister lied to me.
Oh look, a CD/T thread. I didn't know you guys had these here!
I'm trans. What a shitty feeling it is.
I'm aware of some of the risks that come with HRT, but I haven't really read any problems people have had going on HRT.
I really need to get in contact with someone about this. Then it just comes down to deciding to do it right away, or wait a little longer to see where I'm at.
Sure, it doesn't fix everything, but it sure as hell changes a lot about you. Mentally and physically.
Yeah, a gal I know who went through it mentioned how it was essentially a second puberty. But considering what it did, pretty dumb to say there are no benefits. Talk to a doctor.
Even if the HRT doesn't change your body at all, it will do wonders for your depression.
(And it will anyway. She's wrong. It helps A LOT. I've had friends that have gone from completely male-looking to completely female-looking without surgery just from HRT)
Oh neat a trans thread
/waves from a friendly trans~
hello active thread
HRT has done far more for me than any of the various anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications that I've been on throughout the years.
The physical changes are just an added benefit.
All these new people are awesome. Hello!
What's that doing on knowyourmeme of all places? That place has become "Know your anything which got put on the internet once". (Not that it was ever very reliable in the first place.)
I also find it hard to find videos on youtube that have transitions from MtF after a year to 2 years. Everyone always seems to post videos when they've only been on it after like 8 months or so.
But to be honest, one of the things I'm looking forward too is the physical changes.
I'm starting at 16, hopefully i look ok
Apparently my address and phone number were confirmed. Let's hope for the best eh?
There are so many people who wait until they're retired to even tell anybody and I think that's really sad. Even sadder is that I saw some comments 'thread' on an NHS site and it was full of transwomen in their 50s-70s talking about how their GPs hadn't taken them seriously, wouldn't refer them to any specialists and told to "Think about how their wives/children/grandchildren would feel and how much you're hurting them"
That worried me to all hell.
