god damn it
ohai new page
We're safe... for now.
We made it. Who have we lost?
I fap to worse shit every day
Quite surprised by Misery. Some things seem overly melodramatic (like the new/updated quest noise), and the stamina or lack thereof still bugs me. But goddamn does it generate an atmosphere. It does seem far more geared towards the highest end computers, which makes me sad :c
It does run a whole lot better for me than SGM, though.
Zombies seem legendarily stupid, more so than normal. At the sawmill, I just hid in the attic, aggroed them and watched as they entered the bottom floor single-file and headshotted them as they went in the door.
That being said, I now find myself more often avoiding fights with mutants, being as I am sniper and more suited for things actually worth my ammo i.e. things that drop loot.
It's also fairly difficult to tell what guns are worth looting and which are too damaged, so sometimes i'll find myself carrying a decent gun for sale, only to find it's marginally too damaged to be of value :/
What would I be well advised to focus on looting, other than artifacts?
Oh, found the Obrez. That gun never fails to amuse me when I see it, no matter where
For some reason, all the guns zoom out slightly when I go into ironsights, and there's minor arm clipping. I'm guessing I was expected to change the FOV.
oh god what is it
I have to go to X18 now. I've heard that it's the scariest thing ever, so any tips?
Stop posting while I'm slumbering! I wake up to 6 pages of new posts and someone's already posted what I was going to say so I'm eterni-late.
Also, am I considered a lurked? I used to be a very active poster, but not so much nowadays.
I now often find myself fighting to save Stalkers at considerable expense to my medical supplies merely because they can transport me to places so much quicker.
Bandits refuse to lead me to places, so they usually end up getting sneak attacked by me to see if they have something I need.
Damn, good thing I took an anabiotic, or else I might've never survived that emission.
So, how many bloodsuckers will there be at the "Find the Family Rifle" mission?
The mutant sounds taken from the L4D1 and 2 special infected are rather annoying and out-of-place, will, fix that later.
Saved Petruha, only to have what I can only assume to be some sort of lightning or psi storm start. Had to run my ass all the way back to Skadovsk because I can't remember if inside the dredge station is a safe zone. Probably not.
That was possibly the worst page 34 I've ever seen.
The first 2 thirds of the page was just about stalker bros.
You know you're putting your heart into it when you take your hand off the pen and notice how much your hand hurts.
I like how if I take a screenshot from misery and average out all the colours, I just get grey and brown
I've been playing so much stalker over the past week since I got Clear Sky that in any game that has a sprint I keep hitting X to sprint instead of the usual shift
ps i know theres a video of kruglov freaking out over the blowout but i cant find it
Is there an L-85 (IL-86) in SoC without a scope? The scope is getting on my nerves.
Alright so I'm in freeplay in SGM 2.1, but I can't seem to get to the Army Warehouses or the other SHoC levels. There's no level transition markers on the map either.
What'd I miss?
It's my dream come true.
Also stalker bros. Fuck yes.
And muukkis, nice Miseryquest.
I MISSED P34, GOD FUCKING DAMN IT
I guess I'll post three stories in P69 then.
Prepare for rape, shit and gore. A lot of them.
'cause i have a lot of ideas for poltergeists. A lot.
I don't know where this is going but I'm going to take my barby cock out anyway.
Investigating the dredge station for Beard was a good way of finding out what Misery is all about. Nothing exceptional happened up until Tuna asked me for the ship's wheel and his friends showed up. We talked for a second and because my loadout consisted of a scopeless Mosin-Nagant and a shitty GSh 18, I gave up the artefact.
Suddenly drawing the pistol and shooting one of his friends would have been so much cooler if it hadn't taken me five seconds to get a bead on his head due to aiming causing the camera to zoom out (thank you 'default' FOV option), and as a result, the other stalker hiding in the barge's wheelhouse shot me in the gut before I stunned him with the GSh and opened his throat with a knife. Some of you already know that medkits mitigate bleeding and restore a small portion of health in Misery, but nothing more, so that left me moving at a snails pace. Which didn't help for the next bit.
Apparently, Tuna runs into the tall grass like a little bitch if you don't kill him first, so that left me limping, near death and with nothing but a rifle which helpfully zooms out when aimed. I took about three shots into the tall grass, hobbled over to each spot and amazingly, one of them had actually hit him.
After relieving him of the wheel, my reward money went to buying a WW2 scope, a handful of bullets and uninstalling Misery so I could try a different loadout. Never got around to that last part.
Speaking of ammo and damage, I'm running SGM 2.1 now and the only way to kill mutants is either sawed off shotguns with dumdum ammo in both weapon slots, a burst-fire .45 pistol I found or 9x18 hollow points in the MP-5 "Octopus". Not going after any pseudogiants, nope.
The mod doesn't remove the ammo dump on the sawmill's tool house attic or the gravitational anomaly bridge's containers/cars.
Those are great sources of 5.45 ammo as well as an AKS/74U which is a legitimate option for a Recon. Sadly, the VSK fully upgraded just outmatches any weapon. It's accurate, powerful as fuck and can defeat enemies at any range.
looky at what i found
The lightning is a bit too weird and it makes a lot of things hard to see. Other than that, it's cool.
Also if I ever get around to making a stalker fan movie this motherfucker's gonna serve as a great recording site:
Sure, it got set on fire, blown up multiple times and got blocked off by a mine field, but hey, a destroyed underground military airport is just begging to serve as an X-lab.
