Even if you wanted a replacement machined you're going to need to make an accurate 3D CAD model of it before any machine shop will make it. Otherwise you'll be paying another guy to draw it up for you.
If you do have a 3D model, you can upload it here and get a quote. It's gonna be pricey though.
Tooling on the other hand might cost more, not sure what tools you would use to machine it. It's something I would have to look up since I don't machine titanium. My guess would be carbide tooling would do it, but I could be wrong.
I don't think it'd be worth it to do it in ti. maybe something like 303 or 304 stainless.
Well fuck. Looks like my Tanaka is going to be a display piece until I win the lottery.
Edit: unless I can use the real steel part (if available)
300 or 400 series SS would work fine for this part. I know I have shitloads of it at work.
maybe you could find out if the real part fits?
Which Tanaka revolver do you have?
Colt Police Positive. The ratchet is attached to the back of the cylinder with the mock shells, and cannot be removed on its own. I'l have to either cut out the worn ratchet or jury-rig a replacement end for the cylinder with the new ratchet attached.
Well my friend, I think you're shit outta luck unless you wanna JB weld a new ratchet on over the borked one.
Yeah, I suppose so. It was worth a try.
If I could find a circular piece of metal with similar dimensions to the cylinder backplate I could drill a whole in the center and fit a modified RS ratchet, then weld the ratchet in. However, I don't have the time or the money for that now.
be careful mixing real steel parts and airsoft
Oh god I remember that thread
I would if I could find another Tanaka revolver with similar specs for sale.
What about something like this?
It's a part for a revolver that I need but can't goddamn find anywhere.
Clean your fingernails!
Have you tried contacting the manufacture?
If it's Tanaka you ain't gettin' anywhere contacting them. There all but out of business
ARgggghhh! my eyes! They insult him for a mistake that could've happened to anyone. And one idiot said "Wait, you were cleaning airsoft?"
Oh god ahahahahah
I'm tired of how front-heavy my gun is, it's meh trigger response, and the clunky battery box on the front that constantly rattles because of the nunchuck battery inside it.
Should I get a rewire to rear + buffer tube lipo setup?
