lets consider the fact that in most of the underfunded understaffed highschools in america are usually "take test for 10 minutes, ponder about what youll fap to later tonight for the hour and 20 minutes left of class"

In the American education system, it's the exact opposite!

And homeschooling makes it even worse!
Homeschooling probably makes you a hundred times better and more well off than public schooling, you are getting direct fucking attention.

Home school breeds socially inept kids from my experience with kids who are home schooled.

depends entirely on who does it

it used to be just christian parents who wanted to make sure their child was sheltered and protected from the harsh realities of life (evolution) and bullying, but nowadays there's lots of intelligent, responsible parents that are homeschooling because they're realizing the public school system is absolute horse shit

not only that, but homeschooling nowadays isn't your mum teaching you how biology works while you drink a capri sun, there's tones of virtual schooling systems with state approved curriculum and a good organization setup to make sure kids graduate on time

imo with the state of public schooling the way it is (at least in america), if i were a parent i'd probably opt for home schooling, so long as you can get your kid involved in some social activities so he doesn't grow up a complete fuckup.

I would set my child loose in the woods as a 12 year long home schooling assignment. If they survive, they graduate.

They must also whittle themselves their graduation certificate.

Almost all of my homeschooled friends are as social as kids from public school.

This is only because uni teaches people to think critically (rather than just recite information off a black/white board) and people actually want to be there.
I wouldn't say it's an "only" though, it's a huge change, but yeah the basics are the same, you go there and you learn shit.

IQ isn't learned information, its pattern recognition.

And this study really should have controlled for the fact that smarter people usually get more education
