On Friday myself, my cousin and my friend decided to drive to the tip to have a look for some potential stuff to buy. About 15 minutes later, we came across a Galaxy 8800Gts, and a 140mm Thermaltake Fan. The graphics card was $20 and the fan was only $5. Excellent purchase and both work fine, except the card has a few scratches. I am going to purchase a better graphics card in a while but this one is still better than my previous card.

My 8800 melted about a year ago, it was a great card. It was summer, my house has no working air conditioning, and when I took it out I found a shit ton of dust in the fan and inside the plastic casing. Lasted four years.

I have a working G92 somewhere in my basement, its worth about $20 for the performance it puts out to be honest, not sure why you're so happy. Yay! You got a power hungry card that puts out crap performance compared to newer cards.

You can have it, but you have to pay for shipping and buy yourself thermal pads as it is partially disassembled. Aka HSF is separated from the PCB because I had a custom HSF fit on there.

    You can SLI them.
They're both G92's except 8800GTS 512 has more stream processors.

A new power supply is going to be acquired soon.
I can't mount the fan in my case without having to modify it some way, so I may as well buy a 120mm fan that will fit on the side of my case.

If you flash the 8800's BIOS to 9800, you can SLI them no problem. Regardless of G80 or G92 core. The main difference between the two cards is the size of the chip's die.

    it won't work

A 9V battery is enough to get a PC fan spinning at a decent speed, I did this once actually.

    Nice little portable fan

Yes he fucking can, every time I see you in these forums you're acting like a persistent asshat in denial. I've setup this G92 8800GTS with my friends 9800GTX and it fucking works.
Long story short I gave the G92 8800 to my friend so he can SLI with his 9800 and play BF3 with me.

I'm in "denial" (learn to use words correctly) when you're sitting here trying to say you can SLI an 8800 GTS and a 9800 GTX

    lol ok

Yes, but unfortunately your mind cannot comprehend a G92 = G92 is the only requirement for SLI.

No point, it would bottleneck his 6870 and reduce performance.
