    Basic Information:
Mafia II is an action crime game that follow the life of World War II Veteran Vito Scaletta from 1945 to 1955 in Empire Bay, as he climbs the ranks of the Mafia with his buddy Joe Barbaro. He is forced into the Mafia because he needs to pay for his family's debts, but during the game the ''Family'' will become more important than his own. You will begin as a hired gun for the Mafia and you will eventually become a Made-Man.

The story begins with the player character Vito returning home from World War II. Vito had joined the U.S. military as a way of avoiding jail time for a botched robbery. Vito reunites with his old friend, Joe Barbaro, and the two quickly embark upon a life of crime. Their criminal ascension starts with Mikey, a car mechanic who gets in a conflict with Joe. Mikey also needs a certain type of car to chop for parts, and will pay $400 for one that the police are not tailing. Soon enough, Vito, Joe, and Henry Tomasino (already a made man) find themselves battling with, for, against, and around three crime factions: the Falconi, Vinci and Clemente families.

    The Wanted system:
The wanted system is very different from most Open-world games, the cops don't have an eye in the sky so losing them is much easier. There are many factors than effect your wanted level e.g. your car can be wanted because you used it as a getaway vehicle, changing to a different car or giving the car a new paint job will make sure the cops won't bother you any more or if the cops saw your clothes, changing your suit will have the same effect. Making a quick getaway thought an alleyway is also very effective, just make sure the cops don't recognize you on the way home.

    Mission Structure:
A mission in Mafia II takes one day of game time to complete, it works like this:
Stage 1, Morning: You get a briefing of what you're going to do and you have to do a small bit of the mission.
Stage 2, Afternoon: This is where the real work starts, here you take care of business.
Stage 3, Evening: The last part of the mission A.K.A. pay-day!

    Bonuses:
    • Vegas Pack (GameStop): Get a taste of old school Vegas in this new DLC pack from Mafia II. Bring a taste of Vegas to Empire Bay as you cruise through the town in two new cars with smooth handling and timeless lines. Vito shows his Vegas style in two new suits inspired by movies and music of the time.
    • War Hero Pack (GameStop): The ‘40s wouldn't be complete without a war hero. Vito plays the role well in the War Hero DLC pack. Drive two military style vehicles and notice the superior handling in all weather conditions. Vito looks sharp in two new military outfits, including fatigues and a dress uniform.
    • Renegade Pack (Amazon): Show off your inner renegade in this new DLC pack. Start with two new cars, one with the slick styling and tight handling of a small sports coupe and the other with the revved up engine of a ‘50s hot rod. Outfit Vito in two new suits, including leather and lettermen's jackets to fit his renegade persona.
    • Greaser Pack (Best Buy): Free access to the in-game downloadable content pack that is all about speed. These two new hot-rod speedsters will win you pink slips every time. Pair them with two new outfits for Vito -- a leather jacket with heavy boots, and a leather racing suit -- and get your engines revving.
    • Made-man Pack (Collector's Edition): Free access to in-game downloadable pack that lets players get behind the wheel of two different luxury automobiles modeled after cars from the period. In addition, Vito will look the part with two new "made man" suits, including a vintage tux.

If you want to provide for your family work on something real and not something virtual like a game that wouldn't exist without electricity. If pirating becomes so bad that games aren't made any more - so what? Go outside and play sports/have fun or make/build things instead.

Pirating might be what saves humanity from becoming zombies who sit at computers 24/7.

    Anyway, this game is awesome.

If you forget about the people who are selling it. I can't believe they're making people pay extra for stuff that's already in the game. The "DLC" should be included in the price, it's a really sick thing to be doing.

I don't think that's quite how it works. Some missions might be like that but they're not all in the format of being split into "morning, afternoon, evening". And each missions isn't necessarilly a day.

Or, you know, it's a thing called "recreation", and you can play video games, AND be active.

    *GASP*

And also, so you know, the company is doing a lot more for the PC community than most others, even if they're being a little odd about it (Which I think you're just looking for an excuse, but whatever)

They're one of the only companies that are actually making quality games for the PC, and not just bad ports from the Xbox to the PC. Other then Bethesda (kind of), Bioware, and Valve, there aren't many companies who still value PC as much.

At least, as I see it anyhow.

This is a shitlie more or less. The current 'crack' is a piece of shit. Here's the details of it.

1.This crack was taken from demo version.
2.This will unlock the Whole map but U can start Play from mission 10.
    I didn't write that, I promise. I don't use 'U' as a letter and capitalize random words.

They're one of the only companies that are actually making quality games for the PC, and not just bad ports from the Xbox to the PC. Other then Bethesda (kind of), Bioware, and Valve, there aren't many companies who still value PC as much.

At least, as I see it anyhow.
I'll agree with the quality part, but what about their stance on modding?

Although their stance on modding is incredibly odd, and incredibly detrimental to the lifetime of the game, I don't really see it as something we need to have in order for it to be a good game.

So, I guess what I'm trying to say is, although the lack of modding does put a spot on 2k Czech, the fact that they made a good game (from what we can tell so far), out-powers that.

I think you're just looking for an excuse
I think you're just reassuring yourself that paying some sneaky liars for a game is okay.

Not really, no. They deserve it, if you think it's a good game.

They said they're alright with modding as long as it's not to disable demo timers as in their definition it'd be "stealing their game".

    I don't see how.
