Animal Collective is an experimental psychedelic band originally from Baltimore, Maryland, currently based in New York City. Animal Collective consists of Avey Tare (David Portner), Panda Bear (Noah Lennox), Deakin, also spelled as Deacon or Deaken (Josh Dibb), and Geologist (Brian Weitz). Records released under the name Animal Collective may include contributions from any or all of these members; the lineup is not uniform.
Animal Collective is an amazing band whose music is really hard to describe. They have about 6(?) albums, all of which have slightly different sounds. here are some examples from a few of them.

    Fireworks (Strawberry Jam)

    Water Curses (Water Curses EP)

    Grass (Feels)

No one I know has heard of them. Am the only person who likes them?

I love Animal Collective. I have all but their first two albums.

Also Water Curses is from the EP Water Curses, not Merriweather Post Pavillion.

I came into the music section to find some new music I like.

    Love this.

    +1 fan for Animal Collective.

    Edited:

It reminds me of this local band I have in my area.

Shit, doesn't matter, I still like it. I don;t even like reviews of shit because it obscures the opinion of something you love.

Though, if were choosing here, my second album is "Spirit, They'v Gone; Spirit, They've Vanished" which beholds the greatest song in their collection.

Eh, that song is a bit too abrasive for my tastes.
