Post #3761I think funny wooden sound should make entrance when second human yell comes in and have more clickity clack to make melodic background to song right now i think it doesnt get enough exposure but human singing is good i like it alot, i think that you should try and have drumbeat change with time though like rock n roll music where drum beat switches up when there is chorus or verse you know?
Maybe it isnt what is expected from your music but changing up is fun and right now it sounds good for what it is and i think by making fun changes in drumming can make good song better

I think having big bass come in when first melody has played once or well i think after 8 bars would make it sound fatter and like a big juicy steak that is on the grill.
What is the sound you use for cymbal it doesnt sound really nice and i think that bass you have in song should be much more in front because both kick and bass is what is important in hiphop right?
It is good beat only thing i would change is bass making more in front and hihat is just in background and shorter fade and well bass after 8 bars or maybe 4 bars im not sure but halfway through intro.

I think intro is bad because clap does not sound good to me and melody you use until the funny soundeffect that comes halfway through intro is bad but after funny sound it sounds more like proper intro to song
Wubwub i think can be more bassy and less like a robot trying to talk i think you can say it has to be warm and not cold like now because you already have much that sounds hard and metallic in song so having flesh on the bones can be cool i think so melody i think is good enough in song and the only thing that needs change is sounds right now i guess?

i listen to insurrection now and this has much warmer bass then song i talked about earlier so sixpence you should listen to this song because it has a much warmer sound then your song so you can take inspiration and try mimic what he does because this is cool song
I do not think i can come up with anything that needs change except maybe ending it sounds not good to me or the woi woi woi sound sounds not good it is too electronic and hard like having a spoon in mouth and sucking on it it you know?
phoenix i think is too tame in beginning but maybe it is because last song was so good and now this comes and the metallic drums just sound like ow to my ears but when hard distorted bass comes it gets great again like last song and it makes me happy but like i said metallic drums sound not nice i think more organic drums like insurrection could be awesome in song
space has good metallic drums it fits the bossy bass only thing is i dont really like musicscape generally here on this song it just is something that makes me not like it even if it sounds good, you know? i think i could enjoy it if it wasnt so metallic i guess?
jumpy i dont think has good melody or drums they just sound too glitchy and reverby it is almost like listening to actual song but computer is slowly crashing so everything glitches and you have broken speakers so it sounds wrong, i think this song is maybe a song that can be scraped or altered alot.

what filter is used on drums it sounds nice! melody not so much because it just chugs on and i dont like it because melody in itself and sound is just a no to my ears i think biggest problem is that it sounds like it has no defined rhythm when drums has good stable rhythm and it sounds bad that is the truth of it, so i would say that coming up with a new melody and having it stay in stable rhythm so that drums and melody work together is first step in making this a song

this is beatiful bass i think it could use some bass in it though it has good warm tone only thing it lacks is good end on it but maybe it is for better because it sounds like you have kick sticking it on the lowest end and then bass gel the upper bass if you know what i mean?
maybe try have bass be lowest end so that you feel the bass and have kick be more high so it gives a more definite punch?

this sound like it could be a level in battletoads to snes game system and i cant really think of things that can be made better, maybe have the rhythm melody provide a bigger bass or have a new rhythm melody as bass?

i dont think copying bars is a bad at all, it depends the context of copying it. almost no charting songs from any genre actually follow the same pattern for more than 16 bars, and the ones that do generally have such a great sound the repetitiveness is welcome.
this is pretty much the same throughout, but it works and it probably wouldnt work any other way. its about finding the difference between repeating stuff and being lazy

My point wasn't that repetition is bad. You're right, sometimes it is needed. I just feel that it wouldn't quite work in Crumas thing specifically since the point of the track was a little of a highlight and I think if you threw it there again with no change it will probably sound a little off.
Trying never hurts though I suppose
