Would have been better had there been    no big action scene at the end, but instead a confrontation between hiccup and his father. Also at the end hiccup should be the only one able to ride a dragon because it makes him unique, somehow everyone learned to ride dragons instantly..

Personally, the ending would've been a lot better if the dragons and Vikings didn't immediately live in some sort of hippie love style existence, but rather if some Viking (probably Stoick) explained that the dragons simply haven't returned to attack since    the death of Big Daddy.
Not as awesome and not as good.

The constant attacks by dragons would've continued if Big Daddy was still alive.

But you have a point, since the movie is supposed to be about a boy becoming a man (Rite of Manhood and all that jazz) a scene with Hiccup talking toe-to-toe with his father would've proven his manhood.

The dragon training children probably taught the rest of the Vikings while Hiccup was asleep, as they were taught by Hiccup in a very short time. It's fair to say that he rest of the village learned just as quickly.

I would say that he's simply being selfish there. You ever try to take food away from an animal that's eating?
Right, but he has a general selfish nature, so he pisses off pretty much all the other dragons.

    Edited:

WTF is that, disney+dreamworks furry art?

He wasn't being selfish when he gave Hiccup the half-eaten fish.

No, it's an image meant to illustrate the resemblance of Toothless to Stitch, which is noticeable.

Actually, that would inidicate that Toothless does, in fact, have a beef with dragons in particular, which would support my speculation that the other dragons outcast him.

Which would bring full circle the fact that Hiccup himself is an outcast.

I know, but I have automatic nauseous reactions to pretty much all animated fan art, if you get me.

Test Drive and Romantic Flight were my personal favorites, John Powell knows his way around an orchestra.

I watched it today. Wasn't bad but got better at the end. I give it between a 3.5 to a 4/5. Wasn't awesome, but I liked it.

    I'm confused.

Disney Dreamworks isn't known for these kinds of indirect facts.

Just Dreamworks, there is no "Disney Dreamworks".

And there are no indirect facts either - we're making speculations. My original point was that the movie should verify these unexplained plot points by adding some extra scenes.

me and gf saw it earlier today. I can honestly say that it was a pretty good movie and was expecting it to be bad because it was coming from Dreamworks.

After watching    the weakest child in the village team up with a legendary dragon to kill a gigantic demonic dragon, I'm pretty sure that they'd do anything Hiccup wanted.

Astrid would probably offer him some nice pussy.

Damn, now there's a scene they should've added!

You pay for them, and they don't force them off you, they are just suggesting that you return them to save other people some money. Not stealing.

BTW, thanks for the music, took a break from the Busta Rhymes and listened to this for a bit. It's nice shit.
The one music-moment I remember, though, was when Toothless pounces onto Hiccup right after he sets him loose.

The fact we're making speculations on a Dreamworks movie (Dreamworks has it's hands in more than just children's movies, which is why I said Disney Dreamworks) is, in and of itself, remarkable.

Saw it, really good actually, except the ending was kind of "meh." Astrid + Hiccup really did seem like a good match in the end, and overall it was really a decent animated movie. It could have been a ton worse, but I liked it in the end.

"Fucking amazing" to say the least.

If I had talent, I could draw Pikachu-stitch too. There's just so much wrong with the picture and it only hits a few important pieces like the eyes, tail and wings. Oh and the color.
