My friend is abit of a Nvida fan-boy first of all, this thread is for him because he needs to be convinced to go ATI.

He was going to buy this card
    http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...=ITD&body=MAIN

And I told him he's retarded and suggested
    http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...=ITD&body=MAIN

    Which one do you suggest?
Any other suggestions are welcome, from any Canadian store (not NewEgg). Not that we hate NewEgg or something but they won't accept our paypal for some reason.

    He has $300 limit.
    750 Watt power supply
    i5 750
    I think it's this board http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16813188056

Any other information needed just ask.

The gtx 275 is better than the 5770 but the 5770 is shit over priced. Also you could go a 4890. Which performs with the gtx 275 and is cheaper.

    Edited:

Good god that 5770 is waaay too expensive. Never purchase an overclocked card. 5770 should be about $175 tops. Go with the 270 if you're strict on price. If not there's always the 5850.

Yeah but is there a site where we can get it for that price other then NewEgg? We'll still try it but we've had trouble with buy from them before.

The pc is built already with the indicated motherboard which was like $300 for the motherboard, we're not buying a new one. So if it doesn't support crossfire then that's out.

You might have to buy a crossfire connector because it seems that neither xfx or powercolor include one.

No I mean, he was okay to buy me a gaming PC but not a good graphic card with it.

Half-Life: Source runs like shit (15 fps/max.) with Geforce9500 GT.

It isn't a good buy atm thoug. Also ati needs to release the 5830 it will fill in that gap.
