Cheap scare.
Shit like that is why I prefer games like Silent Hill to jumpscarefest games.

Well, I completely forgot the layout of the basement, so I walk around the corner, expecting the floaty thingy, and... It's not there. So I'm even more on edge.
Okay, can anyone tell me where the video player is? I've been looking around and people keep mentioning the pedo's room, I went there and the door didn't open for like a minute until the door exploded and a bitch came flying out , but I couldn't find it there.
Help?
You shoot the faceless monsters. What's the problem?
Oh wow, James at the CoF forums posted me a fix for my problem. Apparently, someone had done the same.
Thank god I had my game files still in the recycle bin.
I love him
Finally did it.

I take it back I just emptied my bowels everywhere on the leadup to the park.
yep i quit
that maze with the body bags can literally choke on my fucking nutsack.
after you beat that maze guy and go into that long ass corridor : NOPENOPENOPENOPE
I always get killed by the crawling ones, since I always run out of ammo by then and have already used my syringe.
I had to upload this, since it got stuck in my head since i played co-op.
Also i could upload some other songs, if you want one uploaded just tell![]()
Upload 'Sophie3' (Carcass)
I can't be fucked and you have that nice picture.
Been playing this for about an hour or two. Pretty funny mod so far. I just laugh at jump scares for whatever reason.
So uh, how do you dual wield? I have no idea how to do it, and it's probably pretty freaking obvious too. The button for it doesn't do anything.
You click the button and then both items you want to use in the inventory (not the quick select slots)
Or you can set both items to quick select slots and push both buttons in quick succession.
I figured it was just waking up from whatever status you were in to whatever status you're in now. Maybe it was the driver's exaggerated face? They never really give you a definite answer as to what everything represents in Silent Hill.
I always go like "Oh shit" and then come to my senses and kill whatever it was or just keep walking if it was nothing and laugh too just because it caught me off guard. All horror games work the same way: They establish that you're in danger, set up tension and then eventually cut it with something to surprise you or attack you, then they reset the tension. The only difference is what the player can do in response. Amnesia makes you hide, Silent Hill lets you run or fight, Cry of Fear lets you do both depending on the situation.
The soundtrack to this is so fucking terrifying.
As EpikEnvy requested, here i uploaded sophie 3.
tags = YOU SICK FUCK STOP SENDING GODDAMN FACES TO MY CHEST THEY HURT
Also, carcass was really easy, I just blasted him with like 10 hunting rifle bullets and ducked behind that thing in the roof

There we go
Could anyone tell me how to host a server? whenever I try to make a server ingame my friends can't join saying it isn't responding halp
So I just got past the part in chapter 2 where Theres the chainsaw sound in the background while you are walking through the dark basement that leads to the sewers Genuinely the scariest moment of the game so far. I heard the door lock behind me so I'm wondering would you actually meet a chainsaw guy if you turned around and went back to the door you came from?
help me
Don't you see? It's foreshadowing to keep on your toes and you will get scared. Come on.
Here since Tomzasd requested this one I dont want to look spammy guys, im sorry if i am bothering anyone
As for the park puzzle, check the park map and the compass under it.
Ah, this puzzle. It's fairly easy to do providing you actually find the compass unlike I did, look at the poems/rhymes/whatever the fuck on the map board
So no one else is having the problem with not being able to move at the part where you're in a wheelchair having to fight yourself ?
So I have a ladder and I have no idea what to do with it
combine it with a shotgun and get a laddergun
fuck I dropped my shotgun for a hunting rifle which I then dropped for an M16
looks like I'm gonna have to start a new game guys
Is it the same as it is in coop? If so, horse goes west, Owl goes south, bird goes north, and I dont remember where the tiger goes
How can I make a co-op game, with friends able to join?
Do I need to forward some ports?
If so, which?

I kept getting killed before I could use up the rest of my pistol ammo. Had 5+10 rounds for the Enfield and 3 mags for the glock. From the position you're talking about it was too easy to miss the chains especially with the glock, and the annoying flying heads will fly over/around to get you sometimes. Fortunately I found a better position to the left of the big roof thing where there was some (invisible) overhead cover.
The giant rotating face thing does damage to anything that gets close to it, not just you. If you let all the monsters chase you around the head, the damage from the head will kill the monsters in like 10 seconds. This way you can conserve health and ammo, just don't get too close to the giant head yourself! Also when you go through the next door, I won't say much but run. Just run as fast as you can towards the door on the far side of the room.
Completely stumped. I'm on chapter 5, I think. At the Asylum. My objective is to 'find a phone number'. I gave the doctor the gun from the bowling alley, and combined the two tablet pieces to get the number '5 1 1 7 8 1 6', which I thought would be the phone number, but it doesn't do shit when I dial it. I' must have sweeped the asylum at least three times now and I can't find what to do next. Any help?
If you have the correct number, dial it and then press some green button on the phone.
This game showed how I easily miss obvious paths and interactions. Curse today's games which mostly do everything important for you.
My favourite part was when you have to cross the lake. I did not expect such scenery in the game. It's not super graphics but for such an old engine, impressive. When you arrive to your hometown, that was a great moment, too. Finally, after a long time a game gave me awesome relief when I saw I'm nearing the end.
