Hey FP, I'm ordering a new Graphics Card, but I'm worried that my power supply unit won't support it. Since everyone here seems to support the Radeon HD 4870, I'm looking for a power supply that can provide enough power for this card.

My computer was custom built by a private business, so it's not a Dell or anything. I think the case uses an ATX power supply size, but I'm not sure. I'll look it up when I come back home. It only produces about 300 watts.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

Also, will the ATI card overheat in my computer case? It's pretty well ventilated, but I want to make sure it runs nice and cool.

    What's your current PSU?

Also, this PSU is great. I own it myself and been the best one I bought.

It won't overheat, and if it gets hot, just turn your fans up.
What's your current PSU? It might be capable of powering a 4870.
If not, pick up this 500W Cooler Master for $40:

300 watts, I forgot to write that part up, lol. I forgot the brand, though.

Are power supplies easy to install?

    Yeah.
Just screw it in, plug in all the cables, and you're set.
