I gave it the nickname because I have seen and/or heard of reports that it looks too skyrim like, I got this from Machinima's news feed but it might be a joke on their part.

EDIT: I didn't make an offensive view on it I personally like the Crysis games.

Crysis 2.5 looks pretty good.
The jungle/urban setting is decent.

Gotta agree with the Crysis 2.5 comments. Looks a lot like the second game just with better environment, bow and alien weapons.

Hate how Crytek are basically stuck with having the aliens in the Crysis series, the ones in C2 were boring to fight, and nowhere as fun as the humans in the first game. Even the humans in the second game were kind of boring compared to the humans in the first.

Seriously? I'm sorry but from what I could see from the trailer I have concluded the following:
Same city, though different look
Same enemy
Same HUD
Same Suit
And it looks like it has the same gameplay
I liked both Crysis and Crysis 2 but this one is just too much like Crysis 2. Judging by the trailer the story can be quite weak too since your objective is to: "Hunt them all down and take back the city".
Of course this is only a mere impression from the trialer. Perhaps when we see some proper gameplay it's not so bad after all.

CELL is present but really you're probably going to be fighting the Ceph majority of the time. I personally think the whole story has been shot to shit and Ceph look like badly designed transformers now.

The gameplay was too chopped up to be remotely informative and what bits of story flew around made the huge mistake of honestly believing I give a damn about saving/retaking New York.
Really strikes me as odd as the end of the previous game implied the aliens are all across the globe and we just finishing cleaning up New York, now on to the next location somewhere across the globe. And hell, even CELL is back. Weren't those guys de facto abandoned with the fall of Hargreave and his general or whatever? Hell they assisted you once those two were dealt with.
I dunno, this strikes me as a werid mix of both games that doesn't really push forward.

Why the fuck did they even need to make the sequels? Crysis 2 was fucking awful compared to the original, and it looks like the 3rd game is going to build on the system of the 2nd. I don't have high expectations for this.

God, it looks identical with more grass. The enemies are exactly the fucking same. Not really looking forward to this as much as I thought I would.

This game is gonna suck if your only enemy is aliens, and because of the setting, and the "Kill them all" thing, its probably gonna be only aliens... Unless the weird private military people for some reason wants to kill you more

It's moving more and more away from the game I used like, being able to kill unsuspecting Korean soldiers, drowning them in the sea..

Great setting, wish they expanded the development time to not a year and half and changed the whole setting up though.

The trailer soundtrack was exactly like Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 trailers with the ominous horns and all.
Also, a jungle-ish setting would allow some non-linear gameplay, but I doubt that's gonna happen.

IIRC Crysis 3 takes place after a global alien invasion
It's still in a city, it'll be about as linear as Crysis 2. With some luck it'll have a few cool park areas or something.
