The body of Men at Work flautist Greg Ham has reportedly been found at his home in Carlton North, Melbourne.
A spokeswoman for Victoria Police confirmed a man had been found dead at a home in Canning Street this morning after concerned friends stopped by the house to check on his welfare.But the spokesperson said the body was yet to be officially identified and that his next of kin had not been notified.A crime scene has been established at the house and investigators were trying to determine the cause of death, she said.The spokeswoman said it was not known if the death was suspicious.Radio 2GB reported on its Sydney afternoon show with Ben Fordham that the man was Ham.The 58-year-old musician and actor played multiple instruments for the 1980s pop-rock band Men at Work, including the flute, organ, piano, synthesizer and saxophone.Men at Work have sold more than 30 million albums worldwide and are perhaps best known for their hit song 'Down Under'.In 2010 a judge ruled that Ham's distinctive flute riff in that song was based on the 1934 folk song 'Kookaburra'.Ham leaves behind two children.http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/...nd-dead-report Thread Music
