That looks like the original, though IIRC the first photos released had been tinted redder (something about the public view that mars was a red planet).

Father Edward Daly waving a blood-stained white handkerchief while trying to escort the mortally wounded Jackie Duddy to safety.
OK, I'm gonna say that people should stop various images of the 9/11 jumpers here. It's already been posted once, why would it need repeating another 20 times?
I agree, but please don't get mad at me for bringing it up one last time:
All I can remember about 9/11 was seeing my Dad in the living room, on his own, face right up close to the TV with tears welling in his eyes pointing to one of the higher floors of the north tower saying 'That's him, that's where he was.'
To this day I have no idea who 'he' was. :smith:
It looks like an archipelago, with a dried out ocean.
My Aunt was in New York at the time, and she usually goes to the restaurant at the World Trade Center for breakfast. For some reason though, she went somewhere else on that day - a decision that would have saved her life. But we didn't know if she was OK for the best part of a day, so I remember my parents getting really panicy because they didn't know what had happened to her and feared the worst!
Any, drawing a line in the sand fucking NOW!
It's slightly edited because the original had data of colours outside the range of human vision.
That's quite interesting. I'd love to have bionic eyes and see those new colors.
Or is a part of the brain responsible for that? Nonetheless, I want to see redange, or grue, or breen.
There's no reason why you couldn't make the eyes detect a larger range, then squeeze it down into the range humans could see. The "red" that we see would correspond to a much longer wavelength of normal red, and the neuroplasticity of the brain would probably mean it could be re-interpreted as a new color.
There might be some loss of the ability to distinguish between similar shades because of the compression process.
The woman at the back was also later photoshopped out
also what is this, fast threads post your 9/11 jumpers edition
Probably one of the most famous pictures from the Internet ever.
Because some people are clearly stupid, this is a Photoshop - probably one of the most famous ever made. The original picture was taken in the late 90's, but was later photo-shopped with a plane in it. Released in early 2002, some people though it was real, despite the fact that the roof was closed on that day and the photo film wouldn't have survived the collapse
And some still do apparently
That's not real, is it?
it even says hoax in the file name
Yeah let's date the picture 091101 just in case they don't get it!
well it's famous because it's a hoax, so it still counts
Pretty sure the photographer would have stopped taking the picture instead of thinking it would be pretty good on facebook
Facebook wasn't around in 2001![]()
Cousin!! let's go bowling!!
Honestly most soldiers weren't even tied in with the Jew-hating politics behind WWII, they simply believed they were defending their homeland. Many cultures put an emphasis on serving your country. What's the difference between a German in WWII and an American? Nothing at all.
If you want a true definition of "robotic monsters" point finger at the SS.
Also, let us not forget about the U.S. claim to fame:
-Pissing on dead bodies.
-A kill squad in Afghanistan who gunned down innocent civilians.
-An Apache helicopter that bombed a reporting team.
-My Lai massacre. (Not to mention hundreds of other things like rape and assault on innocent civilians, burning down villages, etc.)
-The live burying of multiple Republican Guard in Desert Storm.
-The bombing of retreating civilians on The Highway of Death in Desert Storm.
-Bombing of innocent civilians in Bosnia.
-A soldier who guns down 26 innocent people.
I can list more.
I think this one is quite famous. It's the last photo 2pac would ever appear in before he was shot dead in a drive-by shooting.

It's the body of Dead, the vocalist of Mayhem, a Black Metal band. The photography was used by Euronymous, one of the other band members to put on their new alum's cover.
Oh yeah, I heard about that. His suicide note included an apology for using a gun indoors and ended with 'Excuse all the blood'.
And there was also controversy over one of the other members supposedly keeping fragments of his skull, he never explained why.
yeah dude hiding the only evidence of an already questionable takeout of the worlds most wanted man is a great way to reassure people that they are telling the truth
threw the body in the ocean lmao
Yup, Euronymous made a necklace out of said fragments. It's a really interesting read anyway.

All from searching Google.
War is hell.
changed my life
The WTC pictures are great, because I haven't seen them before.
Do post more if there are any.
Anyone else think it's really sad how most pictures in this thread are about death? Let's cheer things up.

I still find it funny at how conspiracy theorists still claim that it was a missile that hit the Pentagon, they're just so completely stupid and ignorant that they overlook photos that clearly show the remnants of the airplane.
I still have my PMs from CodeMonkey from last year about some images, and he told me searching "NIST, Zakaria Moussaoui or Moussaoui Trials" turns up with some interesting results.
Here are some pages of 9/11 photos from individual photographers.

Those poor souls.
Too be honest, in an odd sort of way, a lot of the animosity towards Muslims is understandable after seeing a lot of those pictures, especially regarding the mosque that was being built. Personally, I don't know my stand-point, but it's..different then it was to say the least.
If I remember correctly, there was a German law (made before the Nazis came to power) that military soldiers were not allowed to be part of a political party or do any political actions.
the hate for muslims is only understandable in the sense that racism/sexism or any other form of bigotry is understandable, it's stupid people letting stupid thoughts float through their head
the only reason to be upset about the 9/11 mosque is an unfair bias against islam because of an incident that was caused by people who happened to share the same faith
Not sure. Either way, the SS were the ones who did the Holocaust. Not foot soldiers. While there were probably a few occurrences of violence against Jews from them, mostly they fought the same war everyone else did.
You seem to show little to no distinction between the extremist and the moderate. If you saw load of pictures of the Oklahoma City Bombing and the Utoya Island Massacre, would you say it was understandable to have animosity towards Christians? No, because hardly any Christians are as extreme as those people - it would be an insult to the rest of Christianity to do so. Why is this any different?
why hasn't this been posted yet
It has.
