All of those possibilities sound equally terrible.
    12?

If this is about the valve making hardware thing, and they're consulting to Apple that's not a bad thing. Apple isn't a great company in itself but they do make great standard products. If they didn't they wouldn't be as known as they are.
I do hope for some good controllers

woah calm the fuck down everyone, he probably likes Gabe and wanted to talk to him or had some time off and wanted to check the stats of steamplay games or talk about the compatibility of games on the new OSX or talk about a plan to integrate steam iOS to be able to play games like Cogs or Eufloria on iPads or something non-cataclysmic.

It would be a great PR to reveal a certain game in an Apple conference to showoff the capabilities of OSX graphics wise, Or maybe they are just discussing Steam integration with the OSX game center

All Macs will come with Steam. Steam integration into the App store?

Good thing for both companies. More potential consumers for Gabe and Tim can show people that Macs can be for gaming too. Maybe Valve will make Apps for iPhones/iPads?

It's probably because of Steam's support on the Mac and how some of the games are playable. So I'm guessing since Apple's iOS devices are becoming more popular for gaming, Apple wants Valve to have more support on their Mac devices.

    or something like that.

It's still nice for Mac users. More gamers to the flock, I suppose.

10 bucks says he's a big Valve fan and probably wanted to look at the headquarters and chat.

Also, Gabe isn't an apple-phobe like a lot of the PC community. A few years back he used to use Apple displays in his set up.

Also, it may have something to do with this.

Could Steam be coming to the mobile platform? Maybe.

    Edited:

Gabe Newell: So I use [the iPad 2] a ton, so if I could pick one magic wand I would have us all sit down and design a new, more gaming friendly tablet hardware interface and then build some content that really was designed at the same time as the hardware. So if I could pick one thing that would be it. Because I’m really frustrated as a tablet user with how mediocre the gaming inputs are.

Gabe is fairly neutral on apple. On the one hand the man loves his iPad/iPhone but he has also bashed the platform for being too locked up. Also Steam is already on iOS/Android but Steamworks has yet to make the move.
