There will be no more meatballs for the Glendale, Calif. bear who has become somewhat of a mascot since he was caught eating frozen food out of a garage refrigerator in mid-March.

He was spotted again Tuesday morning at 3 a.m. in La Crescenta, KTLA reports. Fish and Game officials rushed to the scene and told the station, "If the bear becomes aggressive and starts showing aggressive tendencies toward anyone or anything, we'll euthanize the bear."

Consequently, one close call did occur. As depicted in the video above, a man was texting and walking in his side yard. When he looked up, he saw the giant bear, which is estimated to be between 300 and 600 pounds. As soon as he saw it, the man, Vaz Terdandenyan, sprinted in the opposite direction and got away safely.

"I got up this morning from helicopter noise and I was trying to see what was going on," Terdandenyan recounted to KTLA. "I was texting my boss that I would be late for work because something is going on, and I'm coming down the stairs and I see the bear coming up the stairs toward me."

"I turned back and I ran for my life," he continued. "I guess running for a marathon came in handy because I was in shape to run away!"

Although it was described as "very large," the bear did not display any signs of aggression. Officials were able to tranquilize him with at least two darts. As soon as the bear fell asleep, it was transported into a "culvert trap." Fish and Game Lt. Mark Wall commented, “Moving the bear is like moving a water bed without a frame."

When the bear awakes, he will be released to an undisclosed location deep within the Angeles National Forest.

A hour ago, "Glen Bearian," as he's been dubbed on his very own Twitter accounted, tweeted "#Roadtrip."
    This is pretty funny.

Good to know that they didn't shoot it dead like what happens to most wild animals in residential areas.
