Hey guys, I've been using my old Nvidia 250GTS (512mb EVGA) in my new computer and I'm sick of random FPS drops in BF3.

Any Brand will do, my budget is ~$200

    Current Specifications:
    Intel i5 2500K
    8 GB DDR3 1333

I was also wondering what CPU Heatsink you guys would recommend, I'd like to get my 2500k up to ~4.5GHz but I don't trust the stock heatsink.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Will be playing BF3 at high without any problems or lag.

I'd recommend the Hyper 212 EVO for a good headsink+fan.

People need to ask "What's your PSU" as the first question in these kinds of threads. So Op, what's your power supply? Exact model, wattage means buttkins most of the time.

    Edited:

Other than that I agree with the two people above me.

PSU looks fine. Also if your budget is ~$200 I would take a look at the GTX 560 Ti. It's faster than the 6870 and it has Nvidia's superior driver support.

I think I'll pocket the $60 saved on the 6870 thanks though.

Also is there a big difference between the Hyper 212 Evo and Hyper 212 Plus, the Plus is $10 cheaper on newegg.

No the difference really isn't worth $10.
