Last November, I set a life changing goal for myself to lose near 60 pounds. I started at 260-270lbs. Now I am quite tall, about 6'2. Most of my fat was in my ass and hips, which imo is the ugliest form of fatassism. It lead me into periods of depression through high school. I am now trying to recover what I fucked up in school that was a result of my condition (senior now).
Anyways, I began running 2 miles. When I started, my time was a fatasstic 26 minutes. Over the past few months I have continued to run and have improved my time by 8-9 minutes, where it stands currently. Often times I go double or nothing and go 4 miles, but my fucking legs are so tired from carrying my fatass.
The results? I'm now down to ~240lbs. My diet was not the best at times but I really have stuck to losing weight. I think my metabolism is to blame because I can really only eat 3 times a day, probably 2, with my schedule. My depression actually started clearing up for a bit when I looked at the scale. I know for a fact my depression is caused by insecurity and weight.
So what?
I'd like to move on with my life. I'm joining the USMC when I graduate and obviously need to get in shape. I'd like to get a girlfriend, but if I really want to get a girlfriend I need to be happy with myself. That is where the weight issue comes in again.
I want to start a fasting diet. I've read that it really doesn't burn muscle if you do it correctly, and you can lose some major weight. My goal with this diet is to basically reset my body. Start skinny, even if I do lose muscle (or do minor workouts while dieting to keep mass). I would then build up strength and muscle mass. Now, I am already naturally big guy. I'm a mesomorph with a 22" shoulder span. My upper body would remain pretty big even if I do lose a shit ton of fat from this diet.
What I'm seeking here are some tips. I can almost guarantee I won't eat like crazy and regain the fat. I have great self control over what I eat and what I do.
If you gurus know anything about this diet or have tried it please let me know. I'm serious about this, like I have been serious for the past 4 months.
