If you guys think your right here's some recent activity......

At the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con, Spielberg confirmed in front of at least 6,000 spectators that preparations for Jurassic Park IV were in progress, with a story ready and a script being written. Spielberg said that it would be possibly released "within the next two or three years", with a representative from Universal saying 2013 would be the preferred deadline for completion.

In late October 2011 Jack Horner stated, "that a script has been written and is waiting to be transformed into a film". He also said, "They’ve already brought dinosaurs back... so how could they make the dinosaurs scarier?”, stating that it will be about genetic tampering.

On October 26th, Steven Spielberg confirmed that the script is being written. About Jurassic Park IV, he said, "The screenplay is being written right now by Mark Protosevich. I'm hoping that will come out in the next couple of years. We have a good story. We have a better story for four than we had for three..."

In January 2012, Spielberg confirmed that he would not be directing the film, opting instead to be a producer.
that's good. speilburg's a better producer than director somewhat. (Animaniacs, pinky and the brain, etc.)

I'd rather watch it in 2D, because 3D makes me dizzy.

The Lost World: Jurassic Park was mostly a horrible adaption of Michael Crichton's The Lost World which the novel had a better plot and characters. I read the book, the only closest thing to the book in that movie is the Trailer scene by my perspective.
The movie was bad but that book was fucking awful.

It was full of unfinished plot threads and a deus ex machina ending that was so rushed I thought I had missed a chapter.

If you really think the book was better then do the following.
Look in the book and find the part where it is explained why the carnivore to herbivore ratio is so high, from there you should know what to do.
There is no part in the book that explains this, this is one of the many questions posed that are either unanswered or answered poorly.

I'm a huge Jurassic Park Fan so I cant wait for this.

Too bad the 4th is in Development Hell and will probably never get released. I really enjoyed the first 2 movies(except the part where the Raptor gets killed by that girl in the 2nd movie, whoever thought of that deserves to get fired) but the last was okay at best. The Spinosaurus was cool but killing off the T-Rex, a boy who survived on an island inhabitated by Dinosaurs for weeks and the cast talking to Raptors was all incredibly dumb and really didnt fit the course of the first 2 movies.

Hell, it's one of the reasons I love Universal Studios (the theme park) so much.
Objectively, it's all set up like one big circle (so you need to walk ALL THE WAY AROUND to get to something on the opposite side of the park), the food is shit, and there's barely any shade.
    But my God, THE THEMING.
Islands of Adventure recreated the Visitor's Center from Jurassic Park, walking in there as a 6 year old, I was about ready to shit my pants, it was the BEST. You walk along the paths, you can see Nedry's jeep. Wanna learn about how Jurassic Park clones its dinosaurs? Well here's... MISTER DNA!
And it's not just Jurassic Park, hell, I literally shed a tear this past Summer when I walked into the Harry Potter section to be greeted with the Hogwarts express and swelling music from the movies.
Theming is one thing the folks at Universal GET.
And they are GOOD AT IT.

I hope they'll do a little updating on the CGI.

It was great for its time, but could use some polishing.
To be honest the CGI in the first film still looks pretty great even today.

The only thing that looks REALLY dated (as in, dated enough that I wouldn't mind if they touched it up) is the Gallimimuses jumping over the log.

Didn't he not use the Stan Winston Workshop with JP3?
Because good God some of those animatronics were shitty (when compared to the AMAZING ones from the first JP).
The T-Rex and Spinosaurus had like no range of motion.

I just watched it on Encore, the CG is still miles better than half the shit out today.
It doesn't even look good for '93, it just looks good in general.
Some parts are a little iffy (mostly the Gallimimus scene), but everything else is totally solid.

How can you post these, and then say that.

    wtf.

That T-rex scene during daylight looks fucking incredible to this day.

The only thing that is starting to show its age (stretched textures) is the up-close shot of that Brachiosaur in the beginning of the movie.
