A friend kindly sent me a beta key just now, just been playing for 30 mins, seems to be that all the servers are now testing their new gun game mode.

Well it's on a map called de_lake (a new map), basically you get a new weapon every time you kill someone (I think that's how it works from as much as I've played already).

Yep, except with demolition mode too, and you get the weapon after each round, no respawning. It also demotes your weapon.
There's going to be another mode where it's pure gun-game with respawning and gun upgrading on the spot.

They just let 5000 people into the beta after the hardware survey and hinted they'll be releasing more to people in the hardware survey at some point. So it's still closed somewhat, but your chances of getting in go up every time supposedly.

Well I never got a Dota one from that, so I doubt I'll get a CS one, even tho I was able to claim a lot of experience in this one.
