Perhaps its for the best?
But what about my Black & White 3?
But who's going to make extravagant claims about game features that never come to fruition?!
But... But... Black and white three? :'C
Damn, this guy is pretty much my childhood hero because of all the games he made at Bullfrog (Populous, Dungeon Keeper, Theme Park, Magic Carpet and many more)
Well at least he escaped the claws of Microsoft and he joins up with other ex-Lionhead employee's
Best of luck to him
As long as he's always excited about his future projects I'm fine with it. I never listened to the hype that surrounded Fable but I've always enjoyed seeing him always so happy when talking about those games :)
I would assume he left to join the other company since they're not bound by what Microsoft wants.
Perhaps he will work on those 2 games, they look fucking awesome
I guess he finally got enough of being forced to make 360 exclusive Fable games (and recently, being forced to make Kinect shit).
Don't worry guys, His next company is going to be a LOT better then the previous one that had a lot of poor developers and this problem will be corrected for the future.
Bullfrog went to work for EA but in return Peter had to be Vice President of EA so he had to put he's original work down as game designer/developer (He could not work on any of Bullfrog's games)
So after finishing up Dungeon Keeper 2 Peter gave EA 2 choices and that was he either returned to he's original position as game developers or that he goes off and starts a new company.
And so he went for the second choice and went off.
Bullfrog got sort of captured by EA completely and were renamed as EA Bullfrog followed by being assigned to make Harry Potter games which failed to sale good so in the last days the Bullfrog team was merged into EA UK and that was also the end for Bullfrog.
Good. Maybe he'll work on something like this:
I wouldn't care if he went away forever, he hasn't made a genuinely good game since Black & White 1.
He might not have made any great games lately, but he made great games in the past so now that he is free again, I'm definitely giving him a chance.
I'll miss his annoying voice when I watch E3 videos.
He really left due to the horrendously stupid decision of making a new fable game and couldn't deal with the community backlash.
Well who knows, with this new company he's joined we may still have hope for a new B&W or even a new title.
make a new proper syndicate you knob-head!!
Perhaps now he can work on things without Microsoft wanting dumbed-down games. He'll probably never stop going all ideas guy though.
I'm hoping this mean we'll go back to the Dungeon Keeper era when it comes to the quality and game concepts.
Black & White 2 was pretty shit in comparision to B&W1. I mean, it worked, but it was so boring in comparision, so much stripped away and replaced with eye candy. Fable never was my thing and Fable 3 is just fucking terrible.
When he says" conclusion at the development of Fable: The Journey" does he mean he left because they decided to make one? Perhaps Molyneux has some integrity after all.
I see a repeating pattern with his working habits.
Not sure how much that will influence Lionhead tho. Lots of crap hit them since they were bought by Microsoft. I know Molyneux as an ideas guy and maker of great promises, but no idea how he directly improves game quality.
Oh well, I'll remember him as the guy that pitched the Homeworld team some good ideas.
Im actually kinda curious to what type of game he will make I loved Fable, The Movies and Black and white all had their own style it's the sequels that suck.
new Syndicate game pleeaaaase
If he goes and starts or joins a new company, I hope he picks up those cancelled projects and/or makes a new idea altogether.
I probably should have just aimed my bile towards Fable.
Though, I have been wanting to replay The Movies recently... I could've sworn it was on Steam at some point.
Good, maybe now the guy can finally start making creative games again without Microsoft breathing down his neck to make another Fable.
