Though, to be exact, the weapon EVA has is the Chinese copy of Mauser C96, the Shanxi Type 17:
It can be easily distinguished from the Mauser by it's longer, protruding internal magazine. It has a heavier barrel as well. Both changes are to accommodate the larger rounds.
Just ask Sigint. ;D

Anyway, I think a Mauser or Type 17 would make a great non-revolver weapon for the spy.
Seems appropriate as it fits the time-era and Mausers were commonly used in 60's spy flicks (especially by bad guys) due to their distinct appearance.

Because it's hard to come up with names good enough for Valve, so they won't change them. If I remember right, All-Father is the only item from Australian Christmas 2011 which didn't get a name change. Not sure about the Stocking Stuffer.
Now that I think about that, it's an accomplishment itself. Maybe I don't need a Self Made. (And I wouldn't of had gotten one anyways. I should of had asked long ago, before it was even in-game. Now it would just feel rude and greedy to ask.)
