    So this is interesting.
AMD has now acquired SeaMicro, which makes servers.
SeaMicro is an Intel OEM. That makes AMD now an Intel OEM. How funny.

I figured I've lurked long enough, and should post some content.

I was at college two years ago, me and some friends where playing games on our laptops in the corridor between classes, when our head of IT walked past and accused us of hacking the network.
So we defended ourselves by saying we only use our laptops in the corridor, and that there are no network points here, and no wireless network either.
So our tutor claimed there are network points, and pointed at the power socket we were using the week before.

It was difficult not to laugh.

So, this will probably sound moronic to you guys but: Is it worth it to upgrade a prebuilt? Or should I just wait to build a computer from scratch?

Did I already mention that I hate App V?
I can make an OpenMS 32 Bit package but when I try to make a 64 Bit package the Application won't start because an environment variable isn't set to a specific path.
But the fucking variable is present with the correct value.

Yeah I don't think many good GPUs would run off of this power supply. I guess I'll wait; I think getting a decent power supply would go over what money I have right now ($150)

Yeah, that's a really ugly computer. Apple should take it, put a shiny case around it and charge $200 extra.

I got a 1150rpm, 800rpm, and 500rpm version to see how they compare. 500RPM is literalally impossible to hear after like 12 inches, 800RPM maybe after 2feet it disappears into silence. 1150RPM, is heard at around 4 feet, but here is the great thing, it's heard noise, but the noise is like a baby's ass. it's so fucking smooth. I plan on getting the 1450RPM and 1850RPm versions to compare when they are instock, but the noise is higher, pressure is MUCH higher but mainly the fans have a incredibly smooth sound profile.

I'm getting some odd stuttering, think it's coming from my GPU. It's not just in games, happens all the time. Everything will freeze up for a few milliseconds (along with audio, it sort of makes a buzzing sound) and then unfreeze and it'll do this 8-10 times within a few seconds and then again shortly after. It'll also happen 2 or 3 times, then stop for a while, then do it again.

I was thinking of just returning my card (an MSI 5770) but I think I'm out of warranty for it (I bought it in December 2010)

Those are pretty standard fan connectors as far as I know, I saw a lot of fans at my internship but it's all a bit hazy.
Might be able to find some sort of pin info.
