I really couldn't give any less of a fuck if they just kept it to themselves or whatever, but it is somewhat annoying when people start wearing helmets with ears or fucking fursuits to airsoft. If I was explaining airsoft to a new player I would certainly hope that those pictures wouldnt show up, because regardless of how "normal" (as if such a word can be used to describe any airsofter
) the person under that fursuit is, openly flamboyant furries will always carry a stigma of extreme weirdness to anyone that isnt a furry, and said weirdness can cause people to pass judgement on the hobby as a whole.
I think I can sort of see what you subtley tried to do with this thread, as evidenced by this:
and the fact that you included a pic of yourself/fursona, but it didnt really work. You cant eliminate the massive stigma that comes with being a furry by showing us that "they're just like you, you've probably even met some that arent weirdos!".
I mean, I personally dont judge you for your fetishes or whatever, but you should fully expect to get torn apart for it by most people if you go around being open about it.

My dad is a big car nut. He's working on a 1972 Ford Pinto right now. $7k for the car alone, he hasn't really had time nor money for the rest of the stuff he was going to do to it yet.

Even though his hobby isn't really working on cars, one of my friends bought a '94 Mitsubishi 3000GT and ended up having to put more money into that thing than what he's spent on airsoft in total because it was such a piece of shit and he had to order half the parts from Japan.

I've put a good $1500+ into my drum set. Airsoft is definitely my least expensive hobby.

Except be a living museum because I'll game everything I have. Unless I had some really rare authentic vintage uniform, wouldn't want to ruin that. But all my modern stuff would for sure be for use in game.

There's a tank museum with 200+ tanks, spgs, and tank destroyers ranging from WWI to the modern day about 45 mins from where I live... I might be going to it on Saturday.

Paintball: About $3500, really need to sell that shit and get some more dosh for airsoft
LEGOs: At least $3000
CAP: Under $1000, you really don't pay for much yourself aside from membership and materials for SAReXs and the like.

Exactly. I used to have all the emone but then the fiscal gods teamed up with the airsoft gods to double penetrate me. I ended up spending twice for an M14 then i should have. Which was $235, give or take. And every time i actually had money i was too impulsive. I'm not making that mistake again. LEGOs was over a lot of time and CAP i didn't need to worry about because when i first joined up my parents promised to cover any costs for me. Paintball was also over time. And by now a majority of costs from airsoft is replacement parts, ammo, and admission. I haven't bought a gun with my own money in months, which was the MP5 for $60.~$1475, plus or minus $100.

Probably spent at least $1,000 to $1,500 of airsoft, while I use almost none of it.
I've been trying to sell my extra guns on my locals forum but no wants them because they aren't ~MaGpul KWA/POLARSTAR M4~

also all my airsoft furfaggot friends don't play with their suits, they're not field legal and they're INCREDIBLY expensive so it's a terrible idea to dirty them up.
one suit is probably worth more than codemoney's jsdf loadout.
