    Okay, so I'm 20 years old, 6ft 2-3inches, 227 pounds
My weight goal is to be back down to at least 200 pounds, there is no time limit really, but sometime this summer i'd like to me most of the way, at least.

    Some background information.
I am in a quite physical college program to become a guide in the outdoor tourism industry, my courses can be quite physical (sea kayaking, canoeing, climbing, rafting, hiking, cross country skiing, etc) but as of late it hasn't been and it won't be again for the rest of the semester, as now it's more academic courses.

Anyway as of now I am trying to give myself a 1,300 calorie limit,

Started working out via Spartacus workout (cardio) 3-4 times a week (my brother did it and lost a ton of weight during university, so I know it's legit), walking roughly at least 7.5 km a week (walking to school back and forth for classes, grocery store, etc)

Eating apples slices with a little peanut butter, sandwiches, cereal, pasta/KD (KD is cheap and it's college) with alot of vegetables in sauce, and other things.

Drinking a lot of water, but also some milk, (builds strong bones eh)

Not much in the way of sweets or chocolate for that matter.

What else should I be doing? I want to lose 30 pounds + stomach, face/neck fat this year. I don't really have a time limit, but i want to be at least most of the way there by the summer/end of summer.

I need opinions on if what I am doing will get me to my goal, or if I need to change/add things.

If this is realistic and works, I will update this thread with my progress

You should probably do some weight lifting along with your cardio as it would probably also benefit you in some of your future physical courses and make you look overall better in the end.

I lost 40 pounds this year myself, I did cardio and lifting about 3-4 times a week at a local gym and I completely changed my diet. I would recommend introducing a lot of proteins into your meals, from some good white meats/fish and eggs. I started taking multi-vitamins and fish oil pills everyday too, but those aren't nearly as important. Just make sure you keep on your portion control, drink lots of water and avoid eating too much shit foods like chips/soda/take-out, personally I cut those out completely and after a while I really didn't miss them at all.

The toughest part is keeping yourself motivated long enough to get results, if you can stay on track then you should be able to lose the weight.

Not a heck of a lot of meat to be honest. Just bits and pieces mostly, things we add to the pasta sauce.

And I'll get up a picture after class.

And yes I can lift weights.

Oh, well it depends on the meat, there are usually weekly sales at some places, walmart, moncions, giant tiger, metro.

It's funny to think there's another one with pretty much exactly the same weigh and height as I have on this forum. I'm also hoping to get to 200lbs (by the end of the year preferably, but no timelimit really) and after that down to 180lbs in two or three years.

Can't really give you any tips though, I'm the worst guy to ask for that. I just try to eat little enough (1000-1400 calories a day) and do some muscle workout. After snows melt I'll also start walking again, maybe even try jogging if I can muster enough confidence.

Yeah. so here is the deal, me and OP have the same issue now ive been on protein and staying around 1300 kcals aday although i still struggle losing weigth.

My program is basicly 30 min kardio coupled with stomach excercises and leg excercises(the reasons for these excercises is that these areas are my problem areas) and not much weigth lifting. For reference i weigh 242 lbs(110kg) and i want to weigh around 207 lbs(94kg) before i start making a run for getting tight/big/muscular.

But i struggle with losing the 30-35 lbs should i start doing some serious weigthlifting or should i continue with the same programme. Its just going too slow and i want to be able to look good for the trip to greece this year.

green tea ( extract is what im talking about because the drink is even less useful) isnt all that good for fatloss. you could check to see if you dont have any heart problems or anything of the sort and get started on an EC stack which would be tons more useful
