well in england pants is underpants
so in england yes
but i know you're american so its fine
God dawn so many nice photos these past few pages
Went to the Chinese New Year Parade in Sanfrancisco a couple days ago!
Poor kid near the center looks like ^a turtle that's fallen on their back.
I wasn't allowed to get close but even when I did, a dragon would come out of nowhere and head-butt me.
Fun stuff though. I've been wanting to switch my stock lens with a 50mm; I have the currency I just need to persuade myself now
it's currently extremely smoggy outside, wonder if I can get a good angle to take some photos of the smog

Are you able to adjust the output of your light (assuming shutter speed is limited by flash sync)? Stopping all the way down to f/22 can actually degrade the sharpness. Generally lenses will have a sweet spot around f/9 or 11. Also I think you've composed in a way that doesn't give enough room to the subject on the left edge of the frame. Nice work finding a naked woman, by the way.
It was sort of a ghetto setup in my bedroom with a bedsheet backdrop and limited space, but Id like to try to get a similar, better shot at some point.
Since the backdrop is black I could give it some negative space on the left pretty easily. I could probably bring the right side in a little bit to maintain the aspect ratio.
you guys know your stuff at this game so i really do want your opinions!
yo bopie, I replied to your message, dunno if you got it. Need to know how you edited the picture because it looks awesome.
Sweet fuck where did all this amazing content come from? This forum has come far.

don't know if I like the toning, looks better in photoshop... flickr seems to increase the contrast a bit or something, is that to do with the colorspace?

mostly just getting used to depth of field and my few different lenses, but also first time i've realized just how nice it is to play with the tone of the raws of the tones in photoshop
but they've all come out a bit higher contrast(and darker) or something than they were in photoshop, i'm assuming it's the difference in color space used between applications or something, kind of a downer.. any way to work around that that isn't just adjusting it more, saving it and hoping it comes out with the look i'm after?
gonna move onto building/environmental photography, it's what i'm supposed to be doing for school but my area is full of well, cunts, that will start giving me shit for laying a camera at a really low angle all around my local town so I havn't been super fussed to get onto it yet
Well you've posted some content and it seems like you're open to criticism and have a willing to learn and are doing just that, its good to see. Your photos are good and have nice tones, but your subjects are mostly a little boring (but i think you're aware of that). Looking forward to see what you do in future.
Some photos I took at school the other day:
I'm quite jealous of this dude's Audi: I should have put his eyes in the mirror, but whatever:
once my final money commitments (basically school ball related stuff) are out of the way i'm gonna save up to buy my own slr. Thing is I only have k-mount lenses, where as i'd want to move onto a canon.. meaning I wouldn't be able to use this old 135mm manual focus which I quite like (and used for a couple of those photos), or the 70-210mm i got
well, suppose theres those modification kits or whatever but just love that I can chuck these onto the camera i'm borrowing
my wireless shutter remote arrived today, but it turns out my D3100 can't use a wireless remote! Why did they do this...
I don't have the best camera out there, but I try and work my ways as best as possible.
loadsenoise, what are you using?
that's some nice ass diffused light.
also i want to also let everyone know that they have been posting kick ass work, i've been afraid to post things because i don't feel up to buff with you guys anymore
I feel bad posting critique on everything and not posting anything myself, but my point and shoot broke and i'm still waiting for the store to restock the D3100s.
Here's two I took pretty long ago in what was probably the best set of pictures i've ever taken with that shitty Sony point and shoot.
Couple of shots i took yesterday morning. Woke up at 05:00 just to try and get some good shots at the sunrise, but failed miserably unfortunately.. Need to get me a ND filter to be able to have longer shutter speeds and some new glass for better quality (getting some terrible chromatic aberration)..
The last one would have been so much better (or maybe even good) if i had someone with me to stand as a modell or something..
I photographed this with SEMC X10i, so the quality is little bit shitty. It was photographed in Famagusta/Cyprus.
But I think the clincher to shit shot is the flash from the person in the centre left which is creating that shadow through that person's legs. Beautiful.

Will not work with Nikon D3100 17 Jun 2011
Reviewer: Cadmus (see more about me)
The description is misleading. Nikon D3100 does not have infra-red and will not work with a wireless remote, a wireless remote WITH a wired receiver is required. Read More
