I thought the updated Super Mario Bros would have the 3D stuff in it, but nope it's just a normal Virtual Console game now :(

I'm loving the MGS3D demo. I can't wait for the full game even with the framerate issues.

Just played through the MGS demo, its very solid and the controls work really really well with the circle pad pro and are easy as fuck to grasp.

The demo itself is a bit 50/50 its the same great game that I remember but there are a few little niggles that really pissed me off or just dissapointed me.

First off, there are so many jaggies that at times its impossible to actually see what you are looking at, because you are just looking at pure aliasing.

Secondly, the game seems to be plagued with framerate issues, not even minor ones. The framerate drops really low at times.

Thirdly, the textures seem a bit naff in places, especially on enemies.

Finally, I was really dissapointed that you couldn't make your enemies all bloodied like in the original :(
It used to be so cool shooting/stabbing enemies and patches of blood appearing on their clothing.

    /Rant

Hopefully they can fix some of these things.
Funny, I never had any framerate issues; I found it really short though.

I had some framerate issue but only while it was playing a cutscene. What I don;t like is the First-Person Mode, it actually disable it, and really screws up your eyes. I know they're trying to make it realistic (when Naked Snake gets the Eyepatch, he won;t be able to see 3D due to only 1 eye) but it messes you up in the process.

Wait, seriously? They are really going to turn off the 3D after    you get your eye shot out during the interrogation   ?

I think just in the first person view. That's pretty neat.

Why did you spoiler tag that? That was unnecessarily specific because it's obvious what scene it was referring to, and I didn't think the tag applied to the story and now I spoiled it for myself. :(

To be honest, that particular part isn't really a major plot changing scene. I'm sorry if I ruined the surprise, though, because honestly it was one of the more tense cutscenes in the game.

So I was playing mk7, when this guy named Bobby Bone joins. Soon as map votes come up, he immediately chooses Maka Wuhu, causing me rage. He obviously got first, but I made sure to hit him with every green shell I got. Funny enough, he got 8th every single other race, and we played six of them

The fingerprints around those holes where sound comes from are unavoidable, they're caused by you using the circle pad and the buttons. Mine is like yours too, I can't keep it clean for more than a single session.

The UI in the MGS3D demo is great but I really do hope the graphics and sound quality are higher in the full game. Also I hope the framerate is higher in the full game too.

It doesn't really bother me that much. I don't shoot much in MGS games though. I usually stick with cqc'ing everything.

I actually found aiming with the buttons quite easy. Unlike Resi, which was a pain in the arse, because you couldn't aim with the buttons...

    Control option C.

Also lol at all the complaints about MGS aiming the camera with the face buttons. After getting used to it in Resi it's really not that bad at all. I'd still like to try it out with a circle pad though, but unless Nyko ever releases an add on compatible with it's battery replacer I'll probably never be able to play games with it.

Well, you can, but why would you want to? The default one-analog control scheme works beautifully.

(Admittedly the Circle Pad Pro control scheme works even more beautifully, but yeah.)

Guys... Monster Hunter Tri G is basically confirmed for European release, and will most likely include online. You lucky fucks

    proof:
Some Official Nintendo Magazine in the UK posted:
    Snippet from EDGE magazine posted:
A snippet near the end of this review:
The potential hours in Tri G are huge. But for that very reason it’s the kind of game to wait for – playing this outside Japan means there are no fellow hunters, and so arguably no way to see the best of what it offers. Tri G is a great reworking of what was already a wonderful game, and probably has more content than any other 3DS title available – so it’s just a pity we won’t get to play it until later this year. What is this, the ’90s?
and then at the very bottom:

Tri G has everything that makes Monster Hunter great, but in the absence of online it’s probably better to wait until a bit later in the year for the European release.

That guarantees we'll get it too. The only thing holding back any Capcom games from coming here is the fact that they don't care about us enough to translate it to English. So we'll get it now that it's being translated.
