Why not? They're from the same faction, why would they fight each other?

    Edited:

Those are just non-essential NPC's, killing them has no effect on anything except your faction standing with The Strip.
No the ones at the fort

Anyone else thing the Securitrons are kinda pushovers? The way they sounded, it seemed like the NCR wouldn't dare take on House's Securitron Army. But while screwing around I decided to save and see how strong they were, and it turns out they go down pretty easily, about as quick as your basic Raider, but easier to hit due to their size.

    Edited:

I'm thinking the NCR just wouldn't take them on because they look scary and they don't know what they're capable of. In reality I think an NCR Soldier with a Service Rifle would be able to 1 on 1 a Securitron just fine.

I wish they were though, it's annoying when they aren't. Operation Anchorage comes to mind. Chimera Tanks are said to the extremely powerful, even stronger than the strongest US Tank. So I think I'm in for a hell of a fight then, right? Well, no. My first encounter with a Chimera Tank, it's blown up by 2 Assault Rifles and a Plasma Pistol before I finish taking out my Missile Launcher. Boooo!

Are you fighting mk 1 securitrons or mk 2 securitions in groups or soloing? When I decided to go on a killing spree in the strip I actually got killed pretty fast.

Anyway, what place do people prefer for player housing? I kind of like using Goodsprings gas station.

Well there are plenty of mods that provide far better player housing then what's in the vanilla game, or even improve places that are already player housing. I like using the underground hideout on my science/energy weapons characters, a modded novac motel room in early game and any assortment of wildernessy safehouse type homes for my NCR and/or bounty hunter characters.

Mk1, which still, the NCR didn't want to approach in battle, so I thought that meant they would be really strong. Now, I can see why he wants that chip so bad, someone like Caesar who doesn't care much about human lives, would easily wipe out the Mk1's.

I used the Nevada Highway Patrol Station for a good while, I can't guarantee 100% safety because I have lost a Chainsaw and Knock-Knock before, but at the same time I can't blame the building because I have a tendency to misplace things.

    Oh, if it's mk1 then I understand.

Decided to do a slightly evil/independent run with 10 INT, 10 Luck, and 7 perception. See where that gets me. Can't wait to nuke both NCR and Legion.

Is there any way to get proper iron sights for FOOK 1.2?
I know theres a mod that adds iron sights to normal FO3, and theres a mod that also adds iron sights to FOOK, but it only works for 1.0 and 1.1

I've tried installing iron sights for normal fo3 with the fook iron sights, the normal FO:3 weapons work fine except for the assault rifles, but all the fook weapons didnt work. Also fook weapon textures would fuck up.

I'm assuming you've got the GoG versions so they'll be pre-patched and up to date. (I included the F1 compilation incase you plan on replaying it.)

    Fallout
    Fallout Patch Pack

    Fallout 2
    Fallout 2 Restoration Pack

The Fallout 2 pack contains an installer with the latest unofficial patch, the custom resolution mod, and a huge amount of restored content that was left unfinished or heavily bugged. It also includes a few bonuses (extra talking heads, character models etc.), but otherwise follows the developers' intent and publicly-released design documents.

Honestly, that's pretty much the only mod you need for FO2. The sheer amount of content and bug fixes is just mindboggling. It's creator has spent something close to 7 years tweaking and fixing it at this point.

    Dead Money Ending:

How do I seal the vault with Elijah inside? I can't leave the room, security automatically triggers once I get near the doors, and if I wait, it triggers itself when he gets to the control panel.

Okay I figured it out, I was running to the wrong door. Anyway, finished it, left a revolver and 1 bullet for the poor fucker

The resolution patch makes my game slow to a halt and the game crashes when it's set to 32-bit graphics. Does anyone know the fix?

IIRC delete ddraw.dll in the fallout dir for the slowness, and with the res patch isn't it always set in 32bit? I just left it at 8bit ingame.

I hated Ullysses because he was a jackass that tried to hard to be intelligent and poetic.

Also he's really dumb. "It's your fault this happened." "It was an accident, hell I had my memory erased since being shot in the head anyway." "I don't care, you did this. We need to DESTROY EVERYTHING to stop you." "Seriously what are you even talking about?"

What that will allow though (since I believe Obsidian went ahead and made F3 stuff canon) is the Eastern Brotherhood will basically become the next big thing on the east coast since they are helping everyone and pushing out the Vault 87 Super Mutants. All while the old Western Brotherhood simply falls apart from being hard-headed. So if another Fallout happens in the West I highly doubt there will be a Brotherhood of Steel due to all dying out. If it's on the East Coast then yes, I'd actually expect some BoS hanging about or making an outpost somewhere.
F3 stuff canon? Oh lord mothership zeta. I wonder what Bethesda made Obsidian smoke to make that canon.

The only thing in there that slightly made sense to me is the eastern BoS chapter and project purity.

Where's that comic of the Courier asking Ulysses why he is going to blow up the mojave and Ulysses just says "because fuck you."

Also, his mission to reawaken America doesn't make sense. "I'll reawaken America by destroying the last remnant of it that exists!"

Uhm, yes he does? Hence why he didn't know what happened to him before he got shot, followed Benny purely to answers and revenge, didn't know he worked for the Mojave Express or whatever, didn't know he had anything to do with the Divide and all that other bullshit.

Chris Avellone said he doesn't have amnesia, He does know what he's done before getting shot, he just didn't think anything of that one package he delivered to one place that one time, nor why a little chip would be worth killing someone over. He was a courier who didn't know just what exactly he was carrying.

"Book of Earache" Is a piece of shit. Don't download it.

Its a weapon pack that also replaces the vanilla weapons with tacticool piles of horsecrap.
Im okay if a mod adds not-so-lore-friendly weapons, but replacing the varmint rifle with something
that looks like it belongs in Deus ex? No.

I think it just says "I haven't known what's going on since I got shot". I re-did the DLC about half a week ago.

Besides, Avellone has always said that if you didn't pick a conversation option, anything but that option could be possible. So the Courier only got amnesia if you wanted him/her to get amnesia.

Shit, I'm glad you asked. I love sifting through the trash on the Nexus to find worthy mods. Not to mention the fact that I'm bored.

    Armored Jumpsuits (Pretty self explanatory)
Ten Armor Pack (Some are a bit tacticool, but pretty lore-friendly)
Raul's Armor Pack(Implements Raul's unused armored Petro Chico armor)
Jaden's Revenge(Seems to be unfinished and in German)
    Wasteland Seeker Armor(Stealthy looking)
    Hostile Environment Armor(New power armor)
    ADAM (Personal favorite)
The Legacy of X13(Rehauls the Assassin and Stealth suits)
    HEV Suit(Aww. Yeah.)

I may post some more later.

Doesn't really explain why the Courier needs to be reminded what the NCR is though, probably for those who never played Fallout 2.
