I just played a few matched of Operation Firestorm, Kharg Island and Caspian Border and all my heatseakers worked fine. In jets, helis and AA.

We gotta get together like this more, and that server is perfect since it's only 24 players so it will pretty much only be FPers vs FPers if enough people join. It's so much fun.

Imagine 64 server, one whole team of 32 from FP while in teamspeak and using teamwork, that'd actually be amazing... pretty hard to do but still, it'd look amazing if we all moved at the same time, flanked each side while others are suppressing, it'd be like a movie, got me excited.

No one used it.

Is anyone else just getting a blackscreen when playing? Nothing shows up in my BF3 whenever I try to play. Just audio.

try hitting alt-enter to force it into windowed mode.

Hope you get on a good squad, than play with that squad till you win. I got in a good squad did 2 matches stopped and did something else came back, joined terrible squad after terrible squad. Really you can not win SQDM unless your on a good squad. Pretty obvious advice I guess, but it took me forever to get the L85A2 but damn it was fucking worth it.

Luck, luck, luck.

Seriously, it's just a pain in the ass. Try to find a server with low kill goal to get through rounds quicker and just pray you end up with good squadmates. Also play assault.

Played for a couple hours, thoughts on patch, pretty okay. MAV and shotgun nerfs aren't actually that bad when you get in the game and all the additions are nice. Grand Bazaar is still an infinitely shitty map.

I give this patch a 7.666.... out of 9.82.

Ugh, I can never figure out what weapon to use as an Engie, all of the carbines feel kinda... samey. The only one I got used to was the SG, but I felt it didn't quite pack the punch the others did.

Try using a PDW, most of them have a great rate of fire, little recoil and pack quite a punch, especially the UMP-45.
And it even makes sense for someone with a rocket launcher to carry a light primary weapon

Honestly, in the end it comes down to personal preferences. They are all pretty equally good in their own situation.

I tend to just swap around all the weapons on all the classes between rounds and spawns not being able to decide which one to use.

Damn, I have to choose between buying BF3 or buying a CPU cooler. Probably a catch 22 in there somewhere.

Is there only going to be the one map pack? I dont want to have to keep dishing out for DLCs once I buy the game at full retail price..

and they buffed chain gun damage against vehicles so.. jets are far from being broken.

Did they way weaken tanks?
They seem easy as fuck to take out now with javelins and other tanks.

I love this new patch overall.
I was so happy when pressing M now shows the whole map instead of doing a useless zoom thing.

We don't know the release date of the rest though, I think the CQB one is due for summer so we might not get armored warfare until Christmas.

I have a feeling this is one of these extortion situations where you're forced to buy the DLCs if you want to continue playing the game you already bought. I never played Bad Company 2 though so I dont know how this usually works.
