I couldn't sleep and the 2010 version of the Karate Kid was on TV so I watched the rest of what was on.

The part where Mr. Han was crying made me sad :(

Ellen Page was really good in it, and I liked Patrick Wilson's character. But I really am not sure if I liked it or not. Very different flick.

    Stranger Than Paradise - 9/10

Jim Jarmusch is easily one of the most brilliant, if not the most brilliant director of the last 30 years.
There is such a wonderful humanity to his characters, such a sense of poetry to each and every shot in his movies, and Stranger Than Paradise just might be his greatest work.
This is the sort of stuff because of which I watch movies to begin with.

There are so many directors, not to mention the amount of them who don't get the honor they deserve, that this saying is really irrelevant.
Relax. The film world disregards any hidden gems.
    Unlike the music world. :-)

Cage is positively batshit crazy in this one. I liked his acting and that of his co-players. The story was a tad sketchy at points but in the end it all kinda came together.
    Really great movie.

Al Pacino in one of his finest roles. The story shows a near perfect rise of a character first arriving in America, to his eventual downfall, making bad decision after bad decision, and pushing everyone out of his life, until a memorable last stand.

Despite the character he is playing, you still get a feeling that after everything he has done, he still abides by his own principles, refusing to kill people under certain circumstances, yet killing others over what some would see as minute details.

    Fantastic film.

I dislike that movie. The photography was exaggerated, like they wanted to shoot it all "cool" with filter raping and shit, and the story was kind of lame.

I'm not kidding, this is the only film alive that I can respectfully give a 10. It's perfect in every way and, no joke, the best film I've ever seen.

I especially love the Chinatown motif,    that it means failure and not being able to do anything, reflecting on the end

    God Bless America - 7.5/10

Comparisons to Super (2010) are too easy so I won't go on about them, but, the main character, Frank, decides that he can't live in a world with "bad" people any more and makes it his personal mission to kill people that deserve to die. Along the way he meets a young girl who shares his ideals and she becomes his sidekick. They kill a lot of people. There are similarities, but they aren't detrimental to the film and it would be silly to say the film had "copied" Super.

Firstly, I would encourage pretty much all facepunchers to watch this movie, it seems like one of those movies that people who frequent the internet's darkest depths would enjoy, I bet 4chan will like it. As someone who detests talent shows such as "Insert Country Here's" Got Talent I found myself rooting for Frank (played by Joel Murray, brother of Bill) as he tried to protect the weak people who are so often exploited for views. The reveal at the end    The man that Frank initially thought he was protecting turned out to only want to get on tv    rang true.

I'd also like to mention Tara Lynn Barr, the young actress who played Frank's 'sidekick' Roxy. I much preferred her over the obnoxious Libby from Super. I think she'll grow up to be a very competent actress indeed.

So yeah, see this film. It's good.

It wasn't terrible it was pretty weird I dunno it was ok I guess won't bother watching it again I don't think. I usually leave weirder films to come back to them but honestly I don't think there's a lot of point with this since there's nothing really to work out from it. What happened happened and it didn't really have much meaning to any of it as far as I can tell. Just a bunch of random weird shit.

I tend not to give out 10s for things, as there's generally room for improvement in anything. That said though, on second thought, I can't really think of anything in need of improvement.
