    Contagion- 9/10

Great movie with a stellar cast and it really lures you in. What's great about it is how the virus spreads throughout the movie and how everyone around it is reacting to it. First quarter of the movie nobody knows about it, second quarter some people know about it. Then in the last half of the movie people are on riots and people are trying to make money selling false cures. Everything practically spirals out of control in a great panic. If you like disaster movies I really recommend seeing this.

It also has a killer soundtrack composed by Cliff Martinez, the guy behind the music from Drive. Really gets you on edge.

The only country that wasn't affected was    Madagascar

    American Psycho 9/10

Watched this on a /tv/ stream to see what all the hype was about. Bale delivered a solid performance; in the beginning, he just seems like a boisterous asshole, but he slowly slips more and more until he's completely unhinged and can't tell what's real. Plenty of over-the-top scenes and great lines fill up the space inbetween, balanced by a kickin' 80s soundtrack. It ends up being a pretty depressing commentary on what really is "successful" in business and in life.

Also was chock-full of excellent reaction images, and dubs.

The Fifth Element does something weird to me, by the time I'm done watching it my stomach feels really sick, that damn movies changes tone so rapidly, and randomly it just turns my stomach.

Other then that its a damn good movie, I just don't watch it often.

Fucking brilliant. You don't see movies like this anymore.
Seriously? It was just like every other shitty action film, coincidentally directed by Tony Scott featuring Denzel and trains. Boy that guy likes denzel and trains

    Speaking of long ass movies

    Kingdom of Heaven (Directors Cut)

Without going into the plot too much, It might not be the most historically accurate story, but it really makes you think about the way religion effects people and the world (and for once it doesn't portray Muslims as barbarians and the Christians aren't completely good). Great battle scenes, intricately detailed sets and costumes, a solid cast (my favorites of the movie are Liam Neeson and Edward Norton), and a truly epic score by Harry Gregson-Williams (I believe it outshines Zimmer's Gladiator, the movie that many compare Kingdom of Heaven to). Do yourself a favor and skip the theatrical cut, this version fixes practically everthing that was wrong with the theatrical cut.

Comparing the two, it's amazing how much more production quality there is even after only 5 years.

    Let It Be
    1970
Starring John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison
    Rating: 7.5/10

Let it Be is an excellent film. Essentially, it's studio footage from the recording sessions of Abbey Road and Let it Be. You get to see what it was like when they recorded those songs. And then it ends with a bang when The Beatles go up on the Abbey Road Studios rooftop to play a surprise concert for all the people in the streets.

My only real problem with the movie is that Paul was a real dick, which is why the film hasn't received an official home video release. He was especially mean to George, but he was pretty mean overall. Other than that, it was excellent.
