I'm sorry, but I don't get the hype about "Live Another Life"
I start out and then... It's exactly like the regular game, minus Dovahkiin.
I own property in Whiterun... Woah, you want me to kill bandits? Nu-uh, I'm just a lowly miner.
I know it's supposed to be a role playing thing, but everything is still too based on me being a hired sword/mage/assassin.
I start out as a Stormcloak soldier. One of the first things I can ask is "how do I join the rebellion?"
I start out as a miner in Whiterun, and the Jarl's steward asks me to kill some bandits.
Possible Civil War questline spoilers: Do you ever get to kill and thus loot Tullius? I want that armor of his.
Is this thread for Morrowind as well? I just installed the Morrowind Overhaul mod and a few others, including Galsiah's Character Development mod. I wanted to make a ranger/mage-type who's proficient in magic, ranged weapons, and swords. I chose Agility and Intelligence as specializations, and selected Sneak, Marksman, Alteration, Conjuration, and Restoration for major skills, and Enchant, Alchemy, Mysticism, Light Armor, and Short Blade for minor skills.
I know GCD makes it hard to be proficient at more than a few things, but will this work? Short Blade is Speed-based, so I worry if it won't be as good.
Also, Morrowind screenshot:
dude 21fps? what are your specs
Seyda neen just has bad FPS, not sure what it is but it just bombs there all the time. I have a beastly computer and I only get about 30 fps in seyda neen, compared to 40-60 elsewhere.
Also, Crossbows > Bows. Unless you can get your hands on a daedric long bow (or maybe a bonemold long bow), I wouldnt bother with bows, crossbows have much more consistent damage values.
I've had those duels happen a few times. there's also those annoying as fuck "Bretons" and "Dark Elves" or whatever generic NPCs who level scale to your level and attack you for no reason in the wilderness.
Due to the nature of how "classic" rpgs work though I dont think that issue will ever go away. In an RPG like mount and blade (or something comparable, if there is) your health never increases by much, and your prowess in combat is based more on your practical weapon skills and equipment, whereas in TES your stats just keep on improving on a compounding scale so you become astronomically super-human in comparison to other people... ergo you become very overpowered.
Its probably not an issue that can be fixed.. however in morrowind its more entertaining to be OP because you can find challenges well suited to your abilities, wheras oblivion and skyrim are always level scaling so if you're OP you'll be eternally OP.
So, I finished the civil war questline.
I joined the legion, fought numerous battles for the legion, slaughtered countless Stormcloaks with both my vampiric powers and my powerful illusion magic, I've led entire platoons of legion soldiers to victory without casualties using the same illusion magic, and I've captured several cities in the name of the emperor.
So, during the ultimate battle in Windhelm, I fight my way through the streets, Stormcloaks falling before me like wheat before a scythe. After killing scores, I burst my way through the Palace of Kings and march right up to Jarl Ulfric himself, to see what he had to say.
Check out my Argonian spiky Phallus.
I just…I don't understand.
Jesus christ, too many mods, I don't feel like playing Vanilla because I feel like I'm missing out and there's so many mods to browse through that I always feel I'm missing out on good ones.
I'm only on like 40 that i'm subscribed to from the Workshop and like 5 - 10 off the Nexus, i just recently had to remove some shit because the graphics went weird, some dodgy mesh shit fucking everything up.
I have a total of 51 loaded ESM and ESP files loaded.
Except for my custom skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini (which really only remove the cloud cover on the map more than anything) I play the game vanilla. Not bored with it yet.
And the official HD pack technically, don't know if that would be considered "vanilla" or not.
Guys what would happen if the Storm cloak victory was seen as canon? What would future Elder Scrolls title would be? Would the Aldmeri Dominion launch a second invasion of the Imperial Empire?
Are there any mods that allow you to knock people out?
Something like that thief club that was modded into oblivion?
...Then again, knowing the Aldmeri Dominion, they would just take over the weakened Skyrim, knowing that they can take them on, and there is no legal obligation against it.
Oh god, I'm trying to roleplay (hah, roleplaying in skyrim) a thief/rouge. A psychic imperial soldier that I killed alerted a guard telepathically before he died, so I have a 1100 bounty in whiterun which I dont intend to pay.
A guard saw me in rorikstead so I started running, and now my game has turned into Terminator 1/2. No matter how far I run I see this whiterun guard jogging over the horizon, constantly homing onto my distant position.
We cannot get out, they are coming.
Im still running from him, will play this instead of the games music
there we go, lost him. Chased me for about 5 minutes. Even when I was hidden he'd home onto my position :[
I have the PS3 version right now. Is it worth getting the PC one as well? I sort of feel as though I'm missing out on the mods. And as a mapper, I'm a bit interested in the map editor as well.
