i need some good skate shoes, but I don't want some ugly ass dcs.
tried skating in vans, lasted less than a day (I had them for a long time before I skated with them so it wasn't really a waste). Then I bought some etnies jamesons, they're super grippy, the board sticks to my feet and I love it but the toes are hardly reinforced so they're wearing out really quickly.

    vans canvas

if you cant skateboard in them theres something seriously wrong with you
ive had pairs last 6 months of near-everyday skating before they get a bit too torn to wear

    Edited:

all of the big padded shoes are awful and make skating awkward and uncomfortable

Well, I'm fairly used to this. Everyone where I live wears these kinds of things all spring and summer, complete with something from here; www.vineyardvines.com

the white soles are xbox huge, but it seems like nobody really minds that.

80 bucks is helluva lot of money for a pair of nikes though

since spring is here, I'm ordering a pair of supergas. they're finally in the US. Wanted a pair since I visited Italy and saw them being worn there.

rate from the right by descending order of pics(agree, disagree, funny, winner) unless you object of course
well goddamn I wasn't expecting such a landside for the navy colored ones.

they're all jcrew in that pic actually. I've found that my favorite shorts come from jcrew/bb. vineyard vines and southern tide really doesn't do it for me, I stick to jcrew/bb/ralph lauren as far as places I repeat shop at.

to respond to a previous comment, pulling a look off is mostly owning whatever you wear. There's that small element of whether it works on you (you won't see me trying to pull off a red leather jacket) but the element of confidence/owning it is so much more than most people give it credit IMO.

Maybe a black tie just to keep it consistent, but as Protocol said a touch of white can't hurt.

I was thinking black. I don't really like the look of ties lighter than the shirt color unless the shirt is black.
