Dammit, Google. This kinda makes me paranoid, and I also think this goes against the "Don't be evil" thing.

To clarify, this is in their General ToS.

And Google Drive doesn't even work for me, just tells me to leave my email.
Seriously, ALL new google services do that to me.

When you open a file using the default Dropbox app, where is it kept? Because I've opened Earthbound in Dropbox to play it on an Emulator and now I can't find the save files for it.
    system/data/com.dropbox/data/scrub

Or something like that, I think.

It used to be on a Dropbox folder on the root of your SD card. Now they seemed to have moved it to "/sdcard/Android/data/com.dropbox.android/files/scratch/". That's how it is on my Galaxy Nexus.

After that its a literal mirror of your Dropbox filesystem.

AOKP. Based on ICS 4.0.4, insanely customizeable. Have tried all other ROMs for my device but I keep going back to AOKP.

You mean you can't find Titanium Backup after flashing the ROM? If so, that's normal. You just need to reinstall it from the Play store.

I got the Hydrog3n mod. After I restored everything for some reason the persons names aren't showing up when they text me instead it is their number even though their name and number is in my phonebook. Also, can I not make folders inside the app drawer?

How the fuck do I send a text on this? Everything is fucked up.
Instead of displaying contacts normally it displays them as like Bob; Ryan.
Why can't it just say Bob Ryan.
And yeah I cant for the life of me figure out how to send a text. I can't swipe left to text and right to call any more? And there is no text option when I go to the contact.
    Could somebody please help

Swiping is Tw only I'm afraid, you call or text either by long pressing and selecting either option, or by clicking on the contact and clicking the appropriate option in the next menu.

The menu key should bring up a menu where you can go to the settings.

Fuck, my prime fell. It isn't broken from what I can tell, but the corner it seems to have fallen on is a bit dented and the screen is either sticking out or the corner itself got pushed backwards. What can I do about that? Can I push the corner back onto the screen or what?

Could I get help here, ever since upgrading to the Hydrog3n ROM, my phone transfer has been horrible. I used to plug the phone into the PC, and in My Computer it would show up as the G9100, and I could go into that folder and select the external SD or internal SD, now when I plug it in, nothing appears and I have to enable USB storage on the phone, this brings up a folder that only shows the internal SD and not my external. I tried to put 9gb of music on last night, 10 hours ago and it said it would take 2 hours, which was already a lot longer than it was before, but then when I woke up it still said 2 hours to go, and I tried cancel it but it froze up windows explorer? What the hell is going on?

Also, is there anyway to get around the maximum app limit on a folder, I wanted to put 3 more games in a folder but they wont go in and I don't want to have 2 games folders, and can I move around apps in the drawer and place them in folders at all?

Shit, now I'm confused. I'm still waiting for my payment (the government is the one which should be blamed in this case) and I already decided to get a SGS II for $470. But because you people say Galaxy Nexus is now $399, I checked the prices online. Obviously Poland is always tardy in such things and it still costs $600, but I saw an auction where I can buy a new Galaxy Nexus for $485.
Now, should I wait for the price of SGN to drop (which I'm afraid is kind of unlikely), get it for the current price or get SGS II instead?

Edit: I misread one thing, I just found out the price dropped in US only. So it's choice only between buying these two.

If you would like to save a few dollars then I would suggest (my opinion) that you wait for the SGS III to launch first, wait a few weeks and bam, prizes has dropped.
Unless you are in dire need of a new phone then get the SGS II.

Somebody from here said to give it a go because it was based off of a ROM he used that wasn't supported and he recommended it. What would be the best ROM to get then? I know it's about use preference but what ones are recommended and for what reasons

Yeah, I was going to say, because the S4 benchmark is really similar to the one on my Nexus (which makes sense, since they are both dual-cores). Its just blown away by that quad.

Is a lower class microSD card way better for Android because of the random read and write speeds compared to a higher class card? Because I think I bought the wrong class microSD card.

I can exchange it for a class 4 card though but the sequential write speed isn't that fast...

I'm actually not sure. I only had a class 2 card on my Eris and my Nexus doesn't use sd cards. However, the sequential write speed is fairly important for recording HD video and copying files. Though why would random reads and write be worse on higher class cards?

OK, finished my final exam for the semester. When I go into exams I remove the battery from my phone, after its over I reinsert it.

Well after I reinserted it, I put it in my pocket with my iPod and started walking towards the bus.

The next time I took it out, it was on the recovery screen with "wipe data" highlighted. It wasn't actually pressed, but I have a feeling my iPod tried to assassinate my phone

that's why there's that final selection with the 'yes' option in the middle, surrounded by 8-9 'no' options

your ipod will have to do better than that though!!!

In order to get faster sequential read/write speeds, the card makers ditch random read/write speeds to accomidate it. I guess.

Anyways, Class 2 is fast enough for my 720p HD recording but not so much for 1080p recording/newer phones.

Is anyone else unable to edit documents from the new google drive app? I've uploaded some school papers (.doc and .docx) onto Google Drive from my PC and I can open them up and view them with the new Drive app via QuickOffice. But if I make changes and go to save them, it says "directory (random string of numbers) is not writable" then "unable to save file".

This only happens with trying to edit documents I've already uploaded from my computer onto Drive, I am able to create and upload new documents from my phone.
