It's an url to a picture inside a photoalbum (put pictures in the photos folder). You can't link to these photo's using that link, it should not work. Plus the file name and extension are missing on my end.

For whatever reason, that's a feature, not a bug. Present on all SGS2s that I've seen. I'm hoping that CyanogenMod dev team will find a way around this.
(maybe with the custom open source kernel that's in development for CM9)

um, it appears zoomed in because of 1080p, I can't remember the exact reason but it's supposed to be like that

reviews say the HTC One phones (the S and the X) have pretty much the quickest camera shutter speed available on a phone and the quality is pretty good too

titanium backup can do it but it's a paid app, so I can't really do anything about that

The bus probably can't take the full sensors resolution at 30fps, so you are only using 1920x1080 pixels in the centre of the sensor to capture video, which is essentially the same as digital zoom.
