hi guys just got a t-mobile mytouch. cheap phone but android man..... i love it.
Is anyone having problems with the Youtube UI flickering on AsusTF 101
So I installed Dolphin browser because I saw it had history clearing. And holy shit - I didn't mind the stock browser much but Dolphin is just so much better.
Except when making a post on Facepunch but the stock browser had issues with that too so I think it's compwhoozle's fault
Right, I just updated my tablet to ICS, and I've dropped the DPI to 120 so I can get the tablet UI on apps (it was at 160dpi as default, which made apps really comfortable to use)
I have no frame of reference, but are the UI elements far too small for a 10" tablet here?
I mean I can use it, but the 160dpi mode was far more comfortable.
how do I change my tablet's country, I want the chrome for android beta.
I have ICS, it says that it's incompatible with my tablet's county, I was hoping that it was dependent on the tablet but it seems to be connected to my google account, damn
Sup guys, so I'm working on a virtual pet app project for Android as part of the whole Reddit Android Developers Team. I'm working on some GUI stuff.
What's you're take on this screen Interaction screen with the info on the top? (Still designing stuff)
The bars can be pressed where it gives a pop up window of what you can do to increase it, for an example, you tap on the hunger bar, you get a fridge of what food you can give the creature.
The + button, when pressed will give more information, or you can tap and drag down like the Android notifications for more bars of info, where you can close it by rolling it back up.
The pause button has the other menu's and stuff.
So far, this is the first week of real development and design. We are doing it thorough two week sprints.
I don't know why some are rating this dumb when I'm asking for your input on these designs, the guys on the IRC like it. Anyways...
Here's the v0.2.1. Design with 3 buttons instead.
Is there a phone app for a PC interface? Not a simplified thing like airdroid, one where you actually see a display. Preferably without rooting because I don't get it :c
I got myself a HTC Amaze 4G just this past Friday. It's great all except that whenever I use apps for long time, it begins to warm up. Whats up?
omega users: heads up for omega 6.0! seems like a major update
still struggling to get my captivate to hook up to adb
adb devices doesn't list it even though i've installed and uninstalled the drivers a million times
installed Google ADB drivers manually, i think the samsung drivers weren't working because of the ROM i'm using
Codename Android is out for the Epic 4G Touch!!!!!!
Any good strategy or even RPG games for Android?
I dunno what ROM to use on my SGS 2 now, there seems like so many good ICS roms but they all have their own drawbacks and draw..forwards?
Samsung's official ICS firmware has crashed at least 5 times for me and, for example, opening some apps takes somewhere between 4 and 8 seconds. It's really fucking irritating.
Agreed, the official ICS has caused my phone to crash several times and it's getting really annoying when I want to check something and find my phone dead...
Isn't that maybe the shitty acting battery bug that's present in every Android 4.0.3?
hoooo boy CM9 camera app no longer crashes when it records video on SGS2. still doesn't save it so far.
Hello android thread. Almost 2 years ago I made the mistake (Bought an xperia x10 mini) of buying cheap phones that seemed too good, also listening to my dad was a mistake there..
Anyways now it is possible for me to sign a new contract with the company (Around 60 dollars a month) that gives me a cellphone of choice+ unlimited everything, but I am not sure with one to choose. I want it to last long (So it won't start being fucking slow because of OS update and games) and possibly battery time aswell, as I'll use it alot.
So if you guys have any suggestions what to get tell me (Of course not iPhone, wait a second why did I mention it here? )
if you want the best that's out there:
Samsung Galaxy S2
Samsung Galaxy Note (basically a bigger S2 with a stylus and special pressure layer on the display for nice drawing/writing and a HD screen)
Google (manufactured by Samsung) Galaxy Nexus - Google Experience device, updates directly from google, no weird custom interfaces. Unlike the S2/Note it has no SD card slot, 16GB internal space.
Shit, didn't notice your battery requirement. You're kinda unlucky there as most devices today last 2 days at best :C. You can buy extended/external/additional batteries, that's probably your best chance.
From what I recall they had S2. Not sure about note, and I doubt I am interested in Nexus.
